How to unlock the A Day In The Pit achievement in Pit People - Definitive Guide
Pit points are earned by either completing matches of Vs. or Unfair Co-op in the Pit. The Pit is located in the city. Upon entering the Pit you can either chose to go to the left, where you will play Unfair Co-op against computer players, or the right, where you can face off against other real people, with your chosen team.
Winning all 3 rounds of an Unfair Co-op match, will net you around 100 Pit Points. 3 rounds of Unfair Co-op is a time commitment of about 20 minutes and there is no guarantee that you will win all 3 rounds, especially if you are idling the game with Auto Battle. Therefore the average pit points you are netting an hour is around maybe 200 points. This method is very slow and requires idling or playing for hours on end, seeing as the achievement states that the points must be obtained in one day.
The alternative, and better method, is to invite your friend to a Private Vs. battle and to take turns letting each other win, with or without auto battle on. Forfeiting the match will only give you Pit points once or twice and you will receive very little. But auto battling against your friend and winning will give around 200 points and a non auto battle win will net you around 300 points. The matches only last 5-8 minutes and you are getting 1/4 of the amount of Pit Points needed for the achievement. The loser of the battle also gets a significant amount of Pit Points as well. This method is infinitely faster than trying to idle Unfair Coop. At one point my friend put on a team of 2 cupcakes, 4 gnomes and 2 mascots. His team was purposely bad so that I could win easily. Without auto battle on, my team won and I was awarded 416 Pit Points in 1 battle. The less auto battle you use the more points you will get. It shouldn't be that bad to play manually anyways, because you friend should be letting you win, by either having a bad team or by not moving his characters every turn.
If you do not have any friends who own the game, you can still get this playing unfair Co-op, but it is a grind. I would suggest setting up a boosting session on TA or using the "# want to boost" feature to see if anyone is willing to help.

Could you please add a disclaimer that you need to have done the tutorial on at least one save to access the pit? Thank you!

Pit Points are earned by competing in either game mode inside The Pit. The quickest way to earn points is through PVP battles. Boosting with a friend would be the best option. The more units you have alive at the end of a fight, the more points you will get. I got over 400 from one battle with five units alive at the end. You get way fewer points by auto-battling though, so be sure to play the fights out yourself. As described, you must earn 1234 points in one day, so be sure to set aside some time and knock this out in one sitting to be safe.
