How to unlock the Are You Not Entertained? achievement in Pit People - Definitive Guide

This achievement came pretty easily. Once you have unlocked the ability to play on Insane difficulty head over and toggle it on. Once Insane difficulty is toggled on in the city head over to the pit and choose Unfair Challenge. Make sure to do this achievement solo as it is much harder in coop. You can turn on auto battle in the settings and the computer will take over and fight for you. With the team I listed below I was able to win multiple times (roughly 20 percent of the time) without having to hit one button. There are better group makeups that might even work out better so please feel free to list them in the comments. Also the computer wont always make the best moves for you so keep running simulation as your grind your way to 80 and you should obtain the achievement over time.

As of now I believe the level of your fighters has no impact on the Unfair challenge. Infact my friend tested it out and used all level 1 fighters on Insane Unfair Challenge and won.

I choose Horatio and made him my hero and full blown tank. I then selected zombies, electrobot, kobolds, pixie and vampire.

Yeah I understand Ace. You should be working on this achievement as you grind to level 80. I would be shocked if on your way to 80 you didn't win atleast once with this method. I won multiple times without ever hitting a button. Sometimes my whole team was still alive going into the final round.

Aces team worked best for me

I used Texans team except I swapped out the Pixie for a Wraith. The pixie tended to nuke my own team sometimes and die early. The wraith definitely helps with the tanky enemies.

Just to add a note this is easier done with a low level team as they will level up often during the matches replenishing their health

I used Wraith, Hair Troll, Zombies, Vampire and Electrobot. Team came in clutch at end.

Was this made much harder with update 3 or something? I have tried multiple teams listed here and not even gotten close beating it. Teams usually fail in round 2. Sometimes they hang in to round three but they are so decimated by then that they stand no chance. What am I missing?

I used Electrobot, Wraith, Horatio, Hair Troll (Hero) and Zombie. Just barely got it. Only had Electrobot and Hair Troll in the last round. Hair troll was the only one left, had maybe 1-2 more hits when I did it. Unfair indeed. Glad it's over with...

Yeah I've Tried Multiple Teams here. They can't even get past round 2. Done about 30 attempts so far. Horatio is already at 75 at this rate I'll hit 80 before I finish this

Same here, never have beat round 2 yet, even when manually controlling teams. Unless I'm missing something, this seems like it has been made harder at some point.

Also, the auto-battler seems downright stupid most times. Splits up the team, spreads damage around a lot, puts ranged characters in risky spots, etc.

...after much more experimentation, the auto-battler isn't as bad as I initially felt, though it struggles with ranged units and units that do friendly fire. It also committed suicide by walking through lava once with my last unit, but that guy was surrounded so maybe it thought that damage would be less than what was coming next turn? Anyway, I've done the best with a very tanky group of mostly humans and one vampire, but still only made it to round 3 once, and then got immediately trounced. Low level units who get level ups helped a ton, but I'm running out of those.

After failing 30+ times, I did it with cyclops, wraith and troll mom all level 1 first try.

Three lvl 20-30 cyclops worked for me with manual battle-mode. Used the one that was furthest from leveling up to hunt the ranged enemies, and the other two tried to have in a choke point so that they wouldn't get surrounded. Oh and a bit of luck of facing enemy teams with suitable composition.

Two troll moms are the way to go. Still not totally unstoppable, as I think it strongly depends on the teams you face off against. It took a handful of trys, and I was only using auto-battle.

Thought this wasn't going to work as some combinations of enemies utterly destroyed me. Eventually (about 12 attempts in) I rolled a far easier set of enemies. Great solution, thank you!

I used your exact team that you posted and won on the second try. I must add, that you should still be watching the auto battle. There was a part where my whole team was surrounding a mascot and would have otherwise had 4 members of my team take massive AoE damage. But I un selected auto battle and had my pixie kill him from one hexagon away, while moving my other characters away. The computer doesn't always know best.

JORAX did you ever find a strategy that works after the update? The advice in this solution are terrible.

EDIT: I finally got it with a team of 3 medium-to-high level cyclops. Having weapons with ice/freezing abilities help, since "stunning" any opponent for a turn is invaluable. There are ice weapons that have two hits, having a chance to stun two enemies each turn. They can be farmed in the ice lands IIRC.

The larger health pools of the cyclops help keep them alive (hopefully) long enough to gain a level up throughout the challenge. I also gave them medium-to-heavy shields to reduce the threat of ranged units.

Keeping track of where unicorns leave their bombs is vital, as well as trying to funnel enemies as well as possible, and hopefully not get surrounded.

I did use auto combat up until mid-second level. If all three cyclops were still alive at that point and doing well, then I'd take over. Otherwise I'd just let the auto battle finish since the session was doomed anyways. Just leaving it on in auto battle until the end will not net you a win, not even close.

Seconded using two troll moms. It is all about what units you are up against. I personally manually controlled them because they do some really dumb stuff on auto play. Ranged units especially unicorns can decimate them though. I got this in about five tries. It didn't seem like this was going to work the first few times because of how fast they can get destroyed but like I said just hope for a combination of units you can win against.

I couldn't get the other solution to work, it sounds like the game has perhaps tweaked the difficulty for it during its time in early access.

A solution that worked first time for me was to use two hair troll mums. They automatically spawn little baby hair trolls which can outnumber the opponent, swarming around them. Yea the babies die easily but your opponent is too distracted with them to ever substantially damage the mums

Hope this helps

Just as a note, if you don't feel like getting two troll moms since they can be rare you can use this alternative team: one troll mom (need one for all creatures ach. anyway), one cupcake, and one cyclops (max armor and max block if possible). It worked out for me this way, but I definitely got lucky with the spawns a bit.

This alternative team made it to round 3 purely on auto battle, but at that point I took over. Thankfully it wasn't that bad of a team I was against for round 3!

I have one Hair Troll Mom, do they ever show up in the market, or do I have to hunt another one on the map?
I agree, the options listed in the first solution don't seem to work, so I'm looking forward to trying yours. I made it through two waves with a single hair troll mom.

I never found one in the marketplace, I got both of mine from wandering around the map for ages. Sorry I can't be more helpful than that

I did this with a Troll Mom, Elite Cyclops, and a Wraith. Troll Mom was a huge help!

Inside the city hub, you will see a giant red switch on the left side. Flipping this will turn on INSANE difficulty, which increases the health and damage of your enemies, and often gives you more elites to fight as well. With this active, you need to complete the "Unfair" challenge mode inside The Pit. This challenge is three consecutive fights in a row without any pause to heal your characters. There are two ways you can go about this. You can do it on your own, or try to turn on "Auto Battler" and let the game choose your moves for you. If you're going to be doing this for your grind to Level 80, it is likely you will win a match along the way. You may get unlucky and never have this happen though, as the computer often splits up your troops and sends your fastest character after the archers, which leaves them alone to die or drags the fight on too long to be effective in the next rounds.

The team I won this with was comprised of Horatio, Hailey, two pixies, an electrobot, and a wraith. Horatio and Hailey were both setup as "tank" characters, holding the largest shield possible, wearing metal helmets, and using the best sword they could while staying under the weight limit. The four ranged characters are where the damage output comes from. Make sure you are using nearly every character to target the same enemy and kill them each as quickly as possible. If you spread your damage between multiple enemies and drag out the fight, you'll be too weak in the second and third battles to make it all the way through.
