How to unlock the GG EZ achievement in Pit People - Definitive Guide

Perma-death is a new campaign mode added to Pit People. Essentially, when a fighter dies in battle, the fighter stays dead forever and cannot be re obtained. Losing important story characters in Perma-death will cause the file to become incompletable, but not unplayable. Only if you lose all of your fighters does the file become unplayable. In order to start a game with the Perma-death option, you must start a new file and confirm that you would like to have Perma-death activated. The game does allow you to skip the intro cut-scenes and fights, putting you right into the city with 6 characters (1 of which you have to go to your house and buy the 6th slot and equip the 6th character).

The achievement states that you must defeat an Elite Team while playing on Perma-death mode.

An Elite team is a team in the overworld that is glowing red/orange. Elites also cannot be stunned by the rocket from the wagon and they chase you relentlessly as long as you are within range of them. You also cannot run away from an Elite battle once it's been activated. Elites can be found anywhere where the red skull hexagons are on the map. An Elite team is much tougher than a normal team, as they have increased health, defense and damage.

After starting my Perma-death file, I searched for an elite team for a long time and could not find one. It is possible that Elites don't start spawning until after a certain point in the campaign or until your party has reached certain levels. To remedy this, I had a friend invite me to his non Perma-death file and we found an Elite team in under a minute. Because he was playing his normal file, his characters were decently leveled up and we had no trouble defeating the Elite Team. Once I got my achievement. I switched to my normal campaign file and he switched to his Perma-death file and we found another Elite team and killed it.

If you do not have a friend that owns the game, I did see a single Elite Cyclops in the overworld when all of my characters were around level 10. My characters leveled up by just going around the worldmap and getting XP from discovering new places I hadn't been before. If you cannot get help from a friend or fellow TA member, there is hope that you can eventually find an Elite team and beat it, without too much of a time commitment.

If there is anything that you may have questions about, please feel free to ask me them in the comments and I will answer them to the best of my ability.

Yes. I do recall there being quests like that. Yesterday I did one with some snake thing lying in the desert that had to be delivered. It didn't occur to me that they were elites.

Just did the delivery quest with 2 controllers (main account on permadeath, second account was not).

The co op solution here is amazing, and it still works for anyone wondering here in May '21. +1

The way I got this was by doing one of the random quests in the world that causes an enemy to chase you until you get to the objective. Both of the ones I've done like this today have had the enemies chasing you be elite enemies, and I got the achievement from one of them. Both had a difficulty of 2 skulls as well.

Similar to "Fearless Fighter", there is a traditional method to unlock this and a cheese method. The normal way is to play the game in PermaDeath and find an Elite enemy to defeat. See "I See Dead Pixies" for help locating an Elite enemy. If you'd prefer an easier method, have a friend who is on their normal save file (so NOT PermaDeath) invite you to their game, and be sure to select your PermaDeath file when you join. Ideally this friend is also a high level. Join them on the world map and take down an Elite together to get the achievement for yourself, despite your friend doing all the work. Again, be sure to return the favor!
