Use your shovel to kill the various enemies:
Fish - Try to hit from side or when they are upside down as the teeth usually hit you otherwise
Shielded Devil - Jump with A and dig down in mid air
Devil with Pitchfork - just attack in their direction maintain some distance.
If there are several you could use a bomb a kamikaze like I did in the video at one point if need be,
