How to unlock the Always IMProvising achievement in Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 - Definitive Guide

The best chance of getting a skin is to buy the 35k zombie only packs. I got one on the third pack. Then go to the zombie select in the backyard to find the character its for and press (X) for customize, select appearance, then scroll down to weapon skin. A few seconds after applying, the achievement will unlock.

Took me a few packs, I think I had a skin from packs I got with the game but didn't go through all the characters. The one I got in a pack was for the same gun as another I already had. Using deadbeard and his standard skin didn't work for me.

I wasted half of my coins buying those packs and I didn’t get my luck getting any skin , did the deadbeard trick and pop I get itsmile I did some other changes with deadbeard look may be that is the trick

Thanks for the tip that the skins are only for a particular zombie. I thought they were for a whole class, so I never even knew I had two skins in my inventory until I checked each individual character.

Quick tip, dont bother wasting your coin just select captain deadbeard, go to change weapon skins and just select standard skin, it will pop

Did the Captain Deadbeard trick, i had to select a different thing for him elsewhere, like glasses and no beard, but it worked. Thanks!

So I just did this, I didn't have a weapon skin for any of the zombies but when I went in to the customization, I clicked on the normal skin that was already applied to the gun and the achievement unlocked. Not sure if I got lucky with a bug or it is just coded wrong, but it unexpectedly worked.

I try with few zombie to apply a weapon skin and also apply other cosmetic like hat and it's unlock! Without any weapon skin purchase!

Just worked for me as well after I clicked remove all customizations then clicked the normal weapon skin. I agree, who's down voting this?

It worked for me as well , tried remove all customization ( X button ) and then clicked to apply the normal skin and Voila!’ don't get fooled by the negatives it workes

Well thanks for the upvotes guys! The two negative votes came within a couple hours of me posting this so I just assumed that maybe I had a glitch. I was considering deleting this guide if the negatives had continued lol.

Worked for me, although not right away. I had to do it ten sperate times, applying and unapplying the standard skin, then it just randomly popped, upvote

Weapon skins are awarded randomly by buying Sticker packs at the stickershop. Only stickerpacks between the prices of 15.000 and 35.000 will spawn these skins.

When you've acquired one, proceed to the customisation booth, go to the zombie for which you've acquired the skin and press cn_S, allowing you to scroll down to 'Weapon Skins' and applying your find.
