How to unlock the Self Restraint achievement in Poker Smash - Definitive Guide
This can be somewhat of an annoyance since you can only make three-of-a-kinds (henceforth abbreviated to "toak"). This means that if you earn a chain or any other type of hand, you must start over. Combos are okay (simultaneously-created toak hands, like in the Triple Smash achievement).
Don't get too concerned with this since the speed is very slow this early in the game. Just follow a few tips and you'll be fine after a couple re-tries.
--Watch the bottom row. When the cards are rising and you're not paying attention, a new row could accidentally cause a full house or some other type of hand that would cause you to restart.
--Watch out for full houses. I can't begin to tell you how many times I had to redo the entire match after trying to get a toak and accidentally making a full house. This will be your most frustrating moment.
--When you're making a hand that causes a card to fall, watch out for what it lands on, it could mess you up and cause plenty of frustration in the end.
--Take your time. There's no rush. As long as you keep the stack of cards low and watch every move you make, there's no reason you can't get this under a half hour easily.
Note that you CAN NOT start a match on speed level 6 then advance one level to get this, you must start from level 1. Sorry.

This is frustrating, due to the fact that if you mess up even once and get a chain or above a three of a kind, you'll have to start over.
Follow these and you should get it in no time:
1. Watch every move you make. It's a fairly easy achievement, but if you screw up and get a chain or something more than a three of a kind, you'll have to start over completely.
2. Vertical connections are the best, as there is no chance of you getting a chain when nothing is on top of what is being matched.
No falling pieces = no combos.
3. If you get two sets simultaneously (not chained), you can still get the achievement, I did this to get mine. As long as all you get are three of a kind's in the simultaneous sets, you'll be fine.
4. You can't start the mode at 6 speed and just plan on rising once and getting the achievement.
5. Take it one move at a time. There's no need to rush anything, since even at speed 6, it's still a slow-paced game.
6. Watch the bottom row before it actually 'comes into play', you might accidentally create a wrong type of hand and screw yourself over.
