How to unlock the Tournament Hero achievement in Pool Blitz - Definitive Guide
The biggest grind of the game, once you have enough money play the lower level QFT, it's cheaper to enter and lower level players playing however, others at high level are doing this to grind so expect a lot of lost finals

Can you do QFTs against friends?
If someone wants to try this with me we can take turns forfeiting the match to speed it up.

Unlocking QF Tournaments:
Quickfire tournaments ("QF Tournaments") unlock once you reach the Rookie 1 League, which is the second lowest league ranking. To get promoted, you must be in a high enough placement in your current league leaderboard when the week expires. You can view your position in your league leaderboard by viewing the "My League" tab within the "Leagues" section. Increase your leaderboard position by earning gold in tour matches.
Once Quickfire tournaments are unlocked, simply win 20 of them. You can play 8-ball, 9-ball, Blitz or any combination. I chose to play Blitz, because I found it to both the fastest and most reliable.
Winning QF Tournaments:
Here is a reliable way to win Blitz QF tournaments against bots:
First, you may notice that the game will try to match you with players, but it will fill any remaining seats with bots after about 10 seconds. Personally, in 10 hours of playing this game, I think I only encountered a real player one single time, and I never encountered one in a QF tournament.
You may also notice that the bots in this game are rubber-banded to hell. That means that no matter how well or poorly you are playing, the AI is coded in a way that it will always try to stay within about 3 points of your score. If you're sinking balls quickly, so will the AI. If you're jerking off in the corner and not scoring any points, the AI will do the same.
This is frustrating, because it doesn't reward or encourage good play. I felt like regardless of how well I played, most of my matches were simply coming down to luck in the last 20 seconds, whoever happened to be ahead when time expired... until I discovered an incredible strategy: intentionally fouling.
That's right. If the game devs want to make a crappy AI for their game that doesn't reward high performance play, we're going to give them exactly what they want and play poorly.
1. Start a Blitz QF tournament. You will almost certainly be put into a tournament with 7 bots.
2. At the start of each game, break off with full power.
3. Then, shoot the cue ball into any pocket about 7 times. This will put you at -7 points.
4. Because the AI wants to keep the game close, it will notice that they're ahead of you by 7 points and start playing extremely poorly to give you a chance to catch up. It will play extremely slowly and miss easy shots.
5. Sink all of your balls. Don't worry about fouling -- it can only help you! If you start to catch up to the AI in points, foul a few more times to fall back behind.
6. Once you clear your last ball, you'll get a Blitz rampage and win immediately. The points won't matter at all.
With this strategy, you can easily win Blitz QF Tournaments and Blitz Tour Matches very easily, very reliably, and very quickly!
