How to unlock the Parlay? achievement in Port Royale 4 - Definitive Guide

Just a hint, if you accept some task from a neglected captain on the shore and complete it (= hideout is revealed for you and you destroyed it) it will not count towards the achievement.

I had to destroy in total 17 hideouts in order to get the achievement to pop up. 2 of them I destroyed based on the tasks from neglected captain.

Just to update that the above info is wrong. After dozens of hours and only finding a few pirate hideouts, therefore recognizing it would be a grind, I checked this solution and did not ever accept one of those missions. At 17 destroyed hideouts (14 of which included a battle) I did not get the Achievement yet. I then found a mission to reveal one and took a chance; after this hideout (my 18th) which included my 15th pirate defeat, the Achievement popped. Appears to be tied to the # of hideouts that include a pirate battle, so for god's sake taking those missions will speed this up significantly..

When creating a free game, in the settings you need to specify "the number of pirates - many."
