How to unlock the Iron Grip achievement in Portal 2 - Definitive Guide
There are 2 areas in this chamber. The first area with the first cube does not matter because that cube can't be loss (unless you press the button twice). The second area the cube can fall in the water and this is the area where you have to time it out right.
One person is going to stay by the buttons and the other person is going to take the Aerial Faith Plate to the other side. When that person is on the other side, place 2 portals on the platforms behind the team mate standing by the button. Now the person on the opposite side of the button is going to want to take the Aerial Faith Plate. When he is halfway to the next Aerial Faith Plate (the one that is surrounded by water) the other person wants to hit the button. If times correctly you should have a head on collision with the cube and automatically grabbing it. Now you want to go back to the other side with the cube and place it on the switch. Once you have done the achievement should unlock.

For this trophy, the cube can never be destroyed, however it can touch the ground. This test chamber is divided into two rooms. The first rooms requires you and your parnter to use all four portals to fling one of you to a ledge. On the ledge is a button you press to get a cube. Catch it using , and put it on the button to move to the next room.
The second room is a bit harder, as one of you has to use portals and faith plates to fly across the room. The other person has to press a button at just the right moment to send a cube through the air. The person in the air must catch the cube and put it on the button for the trophy. This might take a few tries to get the timing right, but don't get discouraged.
Actually, in the first room of the chamber there should be no difficulty, but in the second room - practice and watch out when to press the cube eject button.
