How to unlock the Portrait of a Lady achievement in Portal 2 - Definitive Guide

You can get this one in Chapter 7

SPOILERS AHEAD

After you reunite with GLaDOS, you will come to the first chamber to use the propulsion gel. Immediately after you solve it and go through the Aperture Science Material Emancipation Grid there will be another Emancipation Grid in front of you, and a staircase to the left. The staircase is blocked by a gate, but there is a small area of wall you can place a portal on. Do so and place a second on the wall near the second grid.

Once you pass through the portal take a right and enter the office. Look at the painting on the wall with Cave Johnson and Caroline. GLaDOS will make a comment and the achievement will pop.

Edited to include the video from RoosterTeeth since I know many people want a video to see how to do these things. (Even though I don't really think this one is complicated enough to need one.) I take no credit for the video.

Where exactly is this in Chapter 7 - I'm follwing a guide throught the game but I can't see where this is?

The first time you encounter the orange propulsion gel. You finish the challenge and pass through an emancipation grid with another one just a little way ahead of you. The area you need to get to is between these grids on the left side.

Chapter 7: The Reunion.

You will encounter the propulsion gel for the first time in this chapter. After you complete that area by launching yourself off a ramp you will go through a door. You will then be on a catwalk. There is a gate to your left that is locked. Shoot your portal behind the gate on the empty wall and another portal on the wall ahead of you. Enter the room and stay in there until GLaDOS talks. The achievement will then unlock. If nothing happens after a while leave and re-enter the room.

If you missed this the first time through, like I did, you can use the "Developer Commentary" option (on the Single Player menu after you beat the single player game) to select "Chapter 7 - Reunion" Yeah, you'll have to play through the first part of the chapter, but at least you don't have to start over (if you don't have a save point).

BTW, I just used this method on Chapter 2 for the "Final Transmission" achievement and the achievement did unlock while in Developer Commentary mode. If you find this does not work for this achievement, please let me know and I'll take the solution down.

After the first chamber in chapter 7 you'll go through one emancipation grid and in front of you you'll see another but if you look to the left there is a locked staircase, you can portal to the top of the stairs and in the office is a portrait of Cave Johnson with a lady. Trophy unlocked

Very simple to get.

Near the beginning of chapter 7 (The Reunion), you will come across the first Propulsion Gel (orange gel) puzzle. After you do this one and go through the exit, you will see a gate and a set of stairs to your left. You can portal into this area using a wall at the top of the stairs and a wall by the end of the hallway. After you go through the portal, you will be right next to a small office with a portrait of Cave Johnson and Caroline in it. Just look at the painting. GLaDOS will make a comment and the achievement will pop.

Obtainable in Chapter 7. You will have to progress from the first room after you used the propulsion gel to leap to the catwalk. Turn left. You'll notice a gate that appears to be locked. Shoot a yellow portal behind this and a blue portal to the wall on the right for a path to this room to locate the portrait.

At the very beginning of Chapter 7, after opening the first door using the accelerating gel and the button, there will be a corridor behind this door. In the corridor on the left you will see a small gate, behind which there is a staircase going up. At the top of this staircase on the left there is an inconspicuous section of the wall on which you need to place one portal, and install the second portal in the corridor on the wall to the right. Go through the portals into the room and look at the portrait for a few seconds until the achievement unlocks.
