How to unlock the Armor-Retentive (High Rift) achievement in Portal Knights - Definitive Guide
I'm going to start off this solution by stating these armor achievements are extremely glitchy. Some people have them pop on the first set or, if you are as unlucky as I am, it won't pop until you have completed the 4th full set of armor. Hopefully no one has had the problem of it not popping at all.
This achievement requires you to buy a complete set of armor in the high rift forge which can only be found doing the high rift. The armor only requires rift crystals. Below is the breakdown for the crystal requirements needed for each piece in the set. There are 4 pieces total that you need:
Hood/helm - 1200 crystals
Gloves/gaunlets - 160 crystals
Tunic/chestplate - 1800 crystals
Breeches/Greaves/Boots - 460 crystals
In the high rift there are 3 floors that have forges on them, floors 4, 8 and 12. Now I would recommend saving for the most expensive first if you can get all the way to the 12th floor although buying as you go won't hurt either. Crystals can be found in crystal chests, the floor activation chests, can be mined at certain places on the level and certain weapons that you craft at rift forges have a percentage chance of dropping a crystal when fighting enemies. To make sure you have as much time as possible when running through the floors, try to make sure you keep scrolls of rift stability on you (which can only be crafted in the rift forges) and make sure you grab the rift stability cubes which can be found through-out the floors and levels in the rifts.
Once you have crafted an entire set or armor, in theory, the achievement should pop but like I said these achievements are extremely glitchy. If it doesn't pop the only recommendation I can really give at the moment is start crafting your next set.
If there are any recommendations on how to make these achievements pop please feel free to leave a comment. I have tried to sell and rebuy an item, doing an entire set in one session, unequipping and re-equipping an item and none of those seemed to work. So I am all ears at this point and if you have any questions feel free to ask. Good luck all!
Credit to frenchdawg - it seems you can share crystals in co-op.
