Chapter 5 will start pushing you a little more than before, needing some potions that are about as far as you can go in the inner ring. Your hardest objective here will either be the poularity if you haven't been doing well and had to refuse lots of customers, or making Void Salt. Your objectives are:
Buy Basic Alchemy Machine Upgrade - Purchase from the Wizard that sells the recipes, recipe pages and other
alchemy upgrades. This will be 6000 base, but can be reduced by haggling to around 4.
Buy the Void Salt Recipe - As above, but this is cheaper.
Create Void Salt - I have a dedicated solution for this, so check that if you need the full details. Once you have the recipe, it should be more of a shopping list and money sink than anything else.
Create a potion with 5 different effects - One of the Void Salt ingredients fulfills this requirement, so you will get it there if not earlier
Collect very big experience book on the Alchemy Map (5 book icon) - These are the huge 5 book stacks fully enclosed in bones at the edges of the inner ring. You will need at least one crystal to grab one, which crystal it is will dictate where you can grab them.
Reach a popularity level of 7 - Serve customers, don't haggle or turn anyone away unless their request is impossible.
Create Potion of Acid - Down and slightly left of Light, almost directly above Necromancy.
Create Potion of Libido - Up and left of Light, or almost straight left of Explosion. Like Magic Vision, is almost surrounded in bones and needs careful sliding through the top or bottom gaps.
Create Potion of Invisibility - Up and right of the origin, almost directly above Lightning, although by quite a way. Needed for one of the Void Salt components.
Create Potion of Levitation - Basically straight up, although needs a slight left to go in the gap between the bones.
Create Potion of Necromancy - Necromancy is down and left from Poison at about 45 degrees. It can also be thought of as left and slightly down from Stone Skin. It is heavily surrounded in bones. You will need to use either the very thin strip that is noticeably narrow to cross and follow the spiral shape all the way round to reach the effect, or use crystals to reach it. Crystals can be purchased from the Dwarf who comes to visit, although they are not cheap. Plague Stibnite or Fire Citrine are the ones to look for.
