To unlock this achievement you can simply jump into online matches then click "casual". After 100 matches, the achievement will unlock!
It will not count private lobbies (nor ranked I believe since it has its own category) as matches so make sure you don't choose them.

can this be done in lobby matches with friends or only matchmaking?

Good question. I've done them in public matches, just letting them win repeatedly while I turboed it.
