There are only 6 characters to choose from (2 on each instrument, guitar, mic, drums). Just play a song with each character and activate that character's mojo (star power basically) at least once with each of them. Viola!

You should note that you must actively activate with each character. The games "auto-activate" feature does not count for this achievement.
