When you get to Act 2 you will unlock more songs. One of those is "Bombtrack" by Rage Against The Machine. Do the vocals on this song. It's all 'talkie'. You can hum it, put the mic in front of the speakers, a fan, etc. I did it on the easiest difficulty, but also got 100% perfect hits on the hardest (I think it's called Legend). Easy 100 GS!!!

Thanks Duanedust, that was a big help. I kept gettin' 98-99% on guitar and wanted to smash my guitar. Just wanna point out tho, I did it first on beginner and did not get the achievement. Thanks again.

I tried both the fan and the TV speakers and it didn't work, but then I got out my keyboard and continuously mashed the keys through the whole song and then it worked.

I have gotten 100% Perfect's twice now and still no achievement. Does this need to be done during the career or something? I'm doing it from Quick Gig.

I don't know what made it work, but I played it as part of a 3 song setlist and changed the difficulty. Guess you can't play it by itself? *shrugs*

Fyi, I played this on the easiest setting and the fan and mic still miss 2 notes. I put it on med and still miss. I put it on the hardest difficulty and got a really high score but it still misses. I did get the 100 note streak with the mic though. Not sure whats going on but I will keep expirementing.

Tried this a couple times and it did not work for me as well. So I went to the options to make the mic at its maximum sensitivity. I also chose the character Carmen since her mojo power is 'all notes hit are perfect,' so that can slightly help. I got 99% once I did this, going to keep trying!

I got 100% perfect notes on the stats screen 3 or 4 times on the stats screen (using multiple difficulty settings) but the achievement never popped. I used both the fan trick and humming.
I also noticed that some of the notes would be half yellow and half green on these runs. Apparently the stats screens counts these as 'perfect' but the achievement does not.
I was able to finally make the achievement pop by ensuring that all notes were green throughout the song. I did this on legendary difficulty (just in case).
I used an instrument tuning app for Android phones called 'g-strings'. You can set it to play a constant tone. Make sure your mic sensitivity setting is turned all the way up and hold it up to the phone's speaker. Worked the very first time for me.

I finally got this achievement to unlock. I did Bombtrack in Career but NOT on the Recruit difficulty. I did Disciple difficulty. It would not unlock under Recruit.

Not sure why it doesn't work for some, but as a side note - I used a Rockband mic. I don't know if that had anything to do with it, but there it is. Also, if it won't 100% for you with a fan, constantly hum into the mic through the vocal parts. If the mic picks it up, you'll get the cheevo.
