Extreme items are guaranteed from Extreme packs, which are 60,000 credits, or there's a chance for them with 15,000 credit Elite packs. The extreme items are colored gold. Equip them for the achievement.
The soonest you can make this attempt is with the Elite packs, and I had enough for one after the first two career events and a bit of free play.

I just got this equipping (and unequipping) Booster - Hook/Slice Effect. Yes, I know, i am very late. Trying to complete the Versus targets

Above solution is spot on, but wanted to note that I unlocked this from a booster pack, so it seems that the boosters also have rankings as well as the items. I must have been lucky as got one in my first booster pack for 1000 credits.
