How to unlock the Fashionista achievement in PowerWash Simulator - Definitive Guide

To purchase a new outfit, gloves and washer modification, press cn_start and go to the shop.

*Note: A "washer modification" is not not a washer attachment. It's basically just a skin.

To equip these items, press cn_back and go to the appropriate tab. The tricky one is the washer modification. There is a little tab on the bottom right corner of the washer icon that you have to click to change the skin.

EDIT: Judge points out that you need to be in-game to do all of this. It can't be done from the starting menu.

If you have been searching how to equip stuff
on the main menu like I was for 10 minutes then just know you need to start a level first, and then you can do it in game by using the “select” button and the screenshot above. The guide isn’t clear that you can only change stuff in game.

Since this is on console and PC, here are the relevant keyboard controls.

Esc to open the tablet and navigate to the shop.
E to switch equipment/clothing.

I have completed the career and have not purchased and mods or clothing. I can no longer access the store in free play and thus cannot purchase anything for this final ach.

Anyone have any ideas short of resetting my save?

@eckso7 I haven't tried the co-op, but I suspect you can get back to the shop by joining someone else's game. That's my best guess.

Just realized that the shop was available from the main menu under career before selecting a job. Once in free play it is not available.

The gloves part... FUBAR for me smh. Bought all gloves then always crash when trying to change the gloves color.

Only way I found around the crash is if you already have a new set of gloves equipped before you buy them all. Then just change the outfit and the washer skin.

this achievement just doesn’t work for me. i’ve tried it with 3 different modifications, outfits, and gloves. honestly not a big deal but a little irksome.

I was also experiencing the game crashing on Xbox One S when equipping customized gloves after buying them all from the store. I downloaded the game on PC, synced data and equipped without issue on PC to unlock the achievement.

Crap, wish I would've read this before picking up all the gloves. Just to expand on BeeKay013's solution though, it DOES work on cloud gaming too. I just fired up the game real quick on my phone to change gloves and worked like a charm for the achievement.

With the free Winter 2023 update you can buy the free Clothing (Gloves - Winter 2023 and Outfit - Winter 2023) and Modification (Prime Vista PRO - Winter 2023) from the shop to get this. I hadn't bought any Clothing or Modifications before and the achievement unlocked with the free items.

It seems that if you purchase every set of gloves, the game will crash when you try to change them. This will prevent you from being able to unlock the achievement, so avoid buying all gloves until a patch or workaround is released.

This bug does not affect outfits or power washer modifications.

You can buy all these things from the shop on the menu. Once you have purchased one of each, go into a level and press the trackpad. Here you can equip everything for the trophy!

Buy an outfit, gloves (Menu -> Store -> Clothing) and a weapon mod (Menu -> Store -> Modifications and equip them.

For the Weapon press E (default key) and on the tab Current loadout) press on the lower right bottom of the weapon to select a skin.
For the Clothing press E (Default key) and click on clothing in the upper right corner.

Relatively simple, this one. Head to the shop (top right of the pause menu, as indicated by the orange icon), then head to Clothing. In there, buy a pair of gloves (the cheaper the better if you want this early on, to be honest, so you can spend your cash on better equipment) and an outfit (all of which are $50).

Once you've done that, back out to the store menu and go to Modifications, where you can buy skins for your Power Washer. Buy one of those. Again, preferably the cheapest.

Finally, hit what was the old "back button" (with the two squares button-page.png) and go over a tab to clothing. Then, simply equip your new outfit and gloves. Now go back to your current loadout and click the bottom right corner of your equipped Power Washer icon. If you bought a skin (AKA a modification) for the currently equipped Power Washer it will show here. Equip it and this achievement will unlock.

The suit and skins for washing are selected by pressing the touch panel. Next to the wash icon there is a small plate, by clicking on which you can get to the menu for selecting purchased skins. Purchase from the store and then change it in the customization menu.
