How to unlock the Going for Gold achievement in PowerWash Simulator - Definitive Guide

The easiest level to do this on that I've found is the "Van - Time Challenge." It's the first job you do in Career Mode, so you'll have likely done it before, it doesn't have that many parts, and I think is manageable to get done in under 3:00 minutes.

I'll link a video down below of how I did it and I'll outline my strategy here. First, I switch over to the soap nozzle and attach the glass cleaner. Then, I go to work on the 5 glass windows on the van including the front windshield. You'll want to get these entirely cleaned. After those are finished, I switch the cleaner over to metal and go to work on the sides, front, top, and back. You'll likely run out of cleaner after 4 of those sides and that's fine. We're not going for completely cleaning the metal parts just 80-90% of them.

After the cleaners are through, I swapped over to the green nozzle. The green nozzle does the job of being just powerful enough to get any dirt off the van while also being fairly wide (the white nozzle I found to be too wide, and I'd have to go over areas multiple times). I went counterclockwise around the car making sure to completely clean the tires, hubcaps, doors/windows, and as much of the body of the car as possible.

Periodically check for dirt to make sure you aren't missing spots especially on the bumpers (front and back) because you'll have to go over these a few times to get them to ding. Don't forget the wing mirrors as these were the last pieces I had to go back over and finish. You don't have to go ridiculously quick, but you definitely need to maximize your time in cleaning. Let me know if there's anything I can add to improve the solution!

For me it was the dirt bike water challenge. Long blasts for the body and little spritzes where dirt is left. I used the white nozzle the whole time. I got it first try with 3.57/4.00L!

Man, this is tough, but definitely doable. Took me about five tries to get the hang of it, one time I only missed by 4 tenths of a second. Ended up with 2:53:34 which I am very happy with.

I agree with @Simpso - Golf cart with orange (yellow?) nozzle, just blasting away. No tricks or strategies needed - just go to town on it. Did it on my first attempt with 5 seconds to spare.

I did the Van water challenge instead and did it with 14.72L/ 15L

The good thing is you don't have to get every single spot clean, just the majority. I used thee green one to get most it done and then just did a a one spray spot clean with the red on missed bits

LtPepperDimples' solution worked for me: dirt bike water challenge, white nozzle. Used 3.6/4L.

Used no extension for most of it then used short to increase accuracy for the last few small spots.

The easiest for me was the dirt bike water challenge. Just be very conservative with the amount of water you’re using and it’s very easy. I got it first try as I decided some of the other challenges were just not worth the effort after failing more than 5 times each.

Upvote for the solution as I certainly wouldn't have been able to do it without it (or a lot of trial and error I'd have had no patience for) but I want to add several points.
1. You have more glass cleaner than you need. I sprayed mine over the mirrors while doing the side windows and over the headlights and grill before stepping up for the windscreen. I also used it on the rear doors a bit while cleaning the windows back there.
2. If the door handles are being stubborn drop down to the yellow nozzle.
3. Lie down for the front bumper or you won't get the dirt underneath it (green nozzle worked fine for me).
4. Before I managed to do this I'd had multiple attempts with my best time being 3m12s but my successful attempt was 2m52s. The only thing that made a difference here was how effective the metal cleaner was. I kept running out of it long before I was finished cleaning the sections shown in the video. Maybe I was spraying it at the wrong angle or over saturating parts of the van or I was too close or too far away but even after having done it, I still can't see exactly what accounted for the successful run being 20 seconds faster that my previous best. I feel like you either make or break a run with the effectiveness of your metal cleaner so it might be a good idea to note the time in the video and clean percentage where the metal cleaner runs out and use that as a benchmark. If you haven't done that much cleaning by that time then just restart your run.

Install the Game!!! (for Save Option) -> Start any Time Challenge -> Bevore the Challenge-Time Ends Save the Game 💾 -> Menu - > Continue your Job = Challenge-Time Starts from 00:00 and thus enough Time to Finish (My Best Time for VAN Challenge is 00:11 sec. or faster) 😉 👍

The Save Icon appear on the xbox one for me but not on the series X.

It works like a charm.

Just complete one challenge. If you do this after you have done career all levels are farmiliar. I did mine in the black garden with enough time to spare. There are 2 type of challenges. Time and water. Time being clean the location or item in given time for gold or Water for efficiency.

Tips i can give is use the soap nozzle + soap on items you struggle with. This should give you a good edge on the challenge to come. There is another one for 5 gold stars

On Challenge mode you need to either complete a level using only a certain amount of water, or within a set time period.

I found the easiest to do were the timed challenges on small jobs.

Meet the requirements for gold and you will get a trophy!
