How to unlock the Good Dings to Come achievement in PowerWash Simulator - Definitive Guide
i got this quick and easy on the "penny farthing" (old timey bicycle) task. There's only 9 parts. Get all of them to at least 95% without completing them.
i recommend using the weakest power washer (the 1500) with red (0*) nozzle, as this gave me the best precision without being too strong at accidental 100% cleanings.
I also recommend starting with the smaller parts first i.e. handle bars, seat support, seat, and both pedals since they're easy to accidentally fully clean. Save bigger parts last i.e. frame, front fork, and both wheels.
Keep a sharp eye on your target part cleanliness bar on top left and try to only tap fire your washer for better control. Use your tablet to see exact percentages of each part.
I dont know if you can restart a task in career, but you can always try as many times as you want in free play.
EDIT:
So after taking some advice from the comments, the ancient monument (giant stone hand) is a good alternative for this achievement. Plus while you're at it, you can go for this achievement:
I just sprayed the perimeter on each piece then started washing until the individual part meter was roughly 95% on all of them which will bring your overall meter to 95%. Be careful on the fins, spines, and pinky finger parts as they're smaller and easy to accidentally clean fully.
Others also swear by the golf cart as another fast and easy alternative. Just be careful of the hub caps as they clean really fast.
One last thing, when it comes to coop it appears only the host can unlock this. Ive tested this with 2 different people and the clients never got it when host did.

The above method is by far the best way to do this
I got it on free play it took several attempts but I got it eventually
Just take your time practice and restart if necessary but take your time

Didn't even occur to me to try it on that bike, but it was way easier than that van

Hello, folks.
Today we are focusing on the "Good Dings to Come" Achievement in Power Wash Simulator.
As the other solutions prove, there are many different ways to do this. I found the Penny Farthing bicycle to be the easiest. Even if you do screw up, its a 10 minute run and all of the parts are easily identified.
Below are some tips if you don't want to watch the video.
Because of the perspective of aiming, your water may hit somewhere you aren't aiming. I highly recommend aiming above or away from an object to start spraying first and then move the cursor toward the item to make sure you clean the item you are trying to. The crosshair isn't always reliable, so be cautious.
When spraying, just TAP the analog to move the cursor. You don't want large, sweeping movements.
Use the red nozzle on whatever washer you want. I switch back and forth between the most powerful and least powerful in my video, but the beginning washer is probably the best for this. The slower you take off the rust, the easier it is to stop before fully cleaning something.
Start by cleaning items that are near each other. In my video I focus on the portion where the frame and large wheel are close, then the Seat/Seat Support and Frame that are near each other. then the Handlebars/Front Fork, Pedals/Wheel/Front Fork , and finally the small wheel and frame. With those close areas completed, its easy to whittle down the other spots to finish, and by doing the hard spots first, you can easily restart earlier than right at the end.
Keep in mind, also, that the pedals share one giant health bar in the tablet but each have their own individual health bar when cleaning. Same goes for the big and small wheel. Cleaning these individual health bars to 0 voids the achievement, so be cautious.
In my video, I clean all the way up to 97% before finishing any of the individual pieces. The achievement doesn't pop because I had already unlocked it on this account.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out!

The best, fastest and easiest way for me to get this achievement was at the Golf Cart. It takes less than 10 minutes with this job. (It only took me 8 minutes)
I start with the $5000 washer and the yellow nozzle at the back of the golf cart and clean anything there. Then the rooftop and the most parts of the front. After that some parts of both sides and the seats.
I reach >80% very quickly. After that I switch to the red nozzle and cleaned the task to 90%+, which is very easy. The only risk are the alloy wheels, which are really super fast cleaned. Here you have to be careful, otherwise the other tasks should be absolutely no problem and you should reach the 95% without problems.
Another tip, go in the job-overview and look which task is still the dirtiest and still has enough potential to raise the percentages. You can also click on this task and it will be highlighted in the game.
In my video you can see the complete process from start to finish (speed up)

Ancient Momument
I recommend trying this achievement at the Ancient Momument level. The objective of this level is to clean a giant stone hand that has few clearly visible parts and divisions, making cleaning control easier.
1. Start by cleaning the outside divisions (including the part that touches the ground)
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FYNVKDdWAAEnw6W?format=jpg
2. Thoroughly clean the bottom of the little finger
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FYNXkL4XEAAmi3D?format=jpg
3. Almost completely clean the inside of the hand and fingers.
Save where fingers touch the ground.
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FYNXxtcXoAYrNOP?format=jpg
4. Start filling in the parts.
Pay attention to the horizontal bar in the upper left corner that measures the cleanliness of each part (you can't clean any bar completely).

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FYNYWpDXoAEzsRX?format=png
5. Watch out for the small parts on the hand's back.
Use narrow jets and preferably point outwards so you don't accidentally hit other parts.

This can be a stressful one, as you'll find yourself close to finishing a lot of sections, and one errant twitch will mean you'll have to start over. I recommend doing this on the Van, and stacking with Powerful Pressure Purist.
Sticking with the red nozzle means you'll instantly clean whatever you're pointing at with little collateral cleaning. Take extra care when you're around things that can be cleaned quickly, like the brake lights, headlights, indicators, and wing mirrors. While the tires will need to be hit from multiple angles to clean correctly, be very careful with the hubcaps, as those can be brought incredibly low on a once-over, if not completed.
Don't use Aim Mode, as I find it's excellent for cleaning a large surface quickly, but it also means you lose a lot of fine control when it comes to not hitting things. Similarly, don't use the auto-spray feature, and be ready to clean edges with quick taps.
Keep an eye on each individual piece's progress bar in the top left. You'll get a good feel for how low you can push something before it gets risky.
The Body of the van comprises quite a lot of dirt, including the roof. If you jump onto the roof and clean enough to give it a dirt racing stripe down the middle, you should be able to clean most, if not all of the dirt on any other body pieces. Similarly, the Grille is much larger than it appears, but while you can clean a lot of this, you need to be careful not to accidentally tap the headlights and indicators, as they will be nearly clean after a single tap.
The achievement pops as soon as you reach 95%.

I have an alternative to the other guide if you are losing patience with accidentally completing tasks on the van.
Go to The Bungalow (either in Career Mode or Freeplay). This is quite time consuming but allows more room for mistakes. I found that doing a quick run over everything that isn't the roofs with white nozzle and short extension on the Urban X U2 was worth 42% progress. Follow this up with a detailed green nozzle run over roof and chimney brings this to 75%. After that, refer to your tablet for what tasks need the most work and go from there.
I highly recommend doing the white nozzle sweep from a good distance, as items like door frames and windows/window frames can be completed easily with this set up. All in I reckon it took me about 15 minutes.

Ok for everyone who doesn't have the patience to redo a level over and over for this dumb achievement. Load up the skate park and have at it. It's impossible to mess up. Its long sure but I was able to wash everything to 90% without accidentally cleaning the damn thing. I did this with the Pro washer. White and green tips.
By 90% I meant individual items not cumulative.
By 90% I meant individual items not cumulative.
So I tried getting this achievement by doing the Penny Farthing and I just couldn't do it. I instead opted for the hand statue, which took longer but was way less stressful.
I did this in co-op so it went quick, but I would like to make a note to this.

I'd like to note the Delicate Excavation achievement on co-op also only unlocks for the host. We tried twice.

The easiest way to do this is on the van, do the mirrors, headlights, indicators (blinkers), brakes, and windows first since those ones you are the most likely to accidentally complete.
To get this I would recommend to do it on the penny farthing I got it first try just carefully clean parts until they don't have much left and you should get it. If you mess up you can just go to freeplay and replay. note if you are playing coop I would recommend for you to do it alone as this trophy is harder to do with 2 people. And if you stand on the seat for 10 seconds you can also get the impeccable balance trophy.
The trickiest of the lot, this one! And one that actually takes some planning, but with some care and patience, you can get this. We found the Van level the easiest to do this with, for a number of reasons:
- It's not a fiddly level, since most of the parts are actually quite large.
- And secondly, the body takes up so much actual mass, that if you just focus on this, that's a significant part of the level done by the time you clean it to around 98%.
- As we inferred above, the body is where you're going to want to spend most of your time. Take your time though. Start with the sides, then jump on and do the roof.
- Once you've done most of the body you can move onto the other big surface areas: the windscreen, the bonnet and the doors (side and back). Just watch out for the lights on the back doors! They're tiny and easy to complete with 1 spray, so be careful around them.
- Once you've done them, do a good portion of all the wheels and the hubcaps. Around 98%. Check your progress in the pause menu.
- Do most of the bumpers.
- Then do a good portion of the grill. Watch out for the indicators and headlights here too.
- You need most of the large areas to be at around 98%, but be careful not to get them to 99% as sometimes it can jump to 100% even though there's a small portion of dirt left.
- And then, if you need some more to take that percentage up to 95%, focus on the windows that you have left.
Penny Farthing is the best job to do this on by far! Just go onto the thinnest nozzle, and take your time getting all of the parts nearly fully cleaned. Just make sure you don't finish any of them!

It is necessary to bring the level cleaning process to 95% without washing any specific items or parts completely. Easiest to do on the Penny Farthing level.

the golf cart fits well, there are not very many parts and all are quite large so that you don’t accidentally clean something completely

The Ancient Statue is also great for getting this achievement.
