How to unlock the Side Hustle achievement in PowerWash Simulator - Definitive Guide

Important: Special Jobs do not award progression or money and are only for fun (and the achievement)dance

Special Jobs are located in the mode select at the main menu and can be navigated to using your tablet cn_back.

At the time of launch there are currently 4 special jobs
Mars Rover
Gnome Fountain
Mini Golf Course
Steam Locomotive

All of these are fun but Mars Rover is by far the shortest. All of the tools are provided and specialized to the job so no progression upgrades will help you here. Once it is 100% clean the achievement will pop

The specialist jobs do give you money to spend. The pay is based on how much work you have to do I got $450 from completing the gnome fountain. Which took forever because it was the first thing I did in the game.

Definitely not true that you don’t get money…I got a lot from the mini golf course

I did the Mars Rover in co-op and this did not pop, so it may be solo only.
I did it solo on Mars Rover and didn't get it. There is a chance I was offline at the time, though, it was at my parents and there internet isn't the best.

Same, Mars rover didn't pop for me and to my knowledge my internet was connected fine.

I did the secret piece following the footprints(with the gnome) first. It didn’t register until I cleaned all the land rover.
It may be ‘do it first’ and not ‘do it last’

Where is the Mystery Hatch on the Mars Rover?

It's the last piece I'm missing. I can't be the only person having trouble with this.

UPDATE: Found it. Follow the alien footprints. Creepy!
The achievement immediately unlocked.

If you are doing the Mars Rover be sure to clean the hatch separate from the rover first otherwise it wont pop, just follow the footsteps

Complete a bonus job.

I did the Mars Rover job, it only took 5-10 minutes!

To unlock this you don't actually have to complete a special job (DLC's like tomb raider). Just complete a bonus job instead.

Complete a special job from the Main Menu -> Specials -> Just pick one. The Mars rover seems to be easiest

In the main start menu you'll see a number of options, like Career Mode, Challenge Mode, Free Play, and of course, Specials. The Specials are basically levels, just like any of the other levels, but... cooler? Yeah, let's go with that.

At the time of writing there are four: the Mars Rover; the Gnome Fountain; the Mini Golf Course and the Steam Locomotive. Complete one of these and get this achievement. We recommend the Mars Rover, because even though it's fiddly, it's a fraction of the size of the others!
