How to unlock the He Who Dares… achievement in Praetorians - HD Remaster - Definitive Guide

First play on easy.

Start by moving your army to the chieftain just a bit away. Once he joins you he can recruit the purple colored units and take the top corner town without a fight. Head to the other roman soldiers to meet up with them, be careful of the ambush in the forest when heading towards them. Keep to the roads and follow the top path while heading to the white color town and taking small detours to recruit units with the chieftain. There will be a bigger forested area where a larger ambush will happen and soon after by tower there will be a ballista. Finish heading to the town from the top path.

Once at the town make sure all surrounding troops join you.(I missed an archer in a tower and it came back to bite me later) Above the town is a forest with around four enemies so send in some troops to take them out. You can try making troops but I was at the cap by then. Leave some troops to defend and make sure the towers all have archers. Now head along the edge of the map to the town in the other corner. This is the more lightly defended town so go for a capture. Now the middle town was a problem for me. They kept sending troops to attack the first town and I almost lost all my units to bad AI.(kept attacking garrison instead of the enemy troops). Do a large offense sending all units you can but watch for your commanders you can't lose, send them back with a guard if you have to. Enemies seem to not spawn as much as you can so you can fall back then make a second push with your units back up to full. Going for a destroy on the center town is faster because once its on fire you pretty much won and you don't have to build your own garrison.

This one was a struggle. Above solution didn't work for me as once I took the topmost settlement it seemed to trigger every enemy (and most unclaimed purple troops) left on the map to storm my location. Leaving no time to coordinate my troops or train any new.

I ended up having to take a lot of time moving around the map, using saves frequently, and collecting all the troops I could. I had to take one fight at a time and let the physician heal everyone in between. I then destroyed one of the cities and regrouped. I then noticed if I finished a new garrison at that city, I got rushed again before any new troops could be made.

So basically I had to kill any troops I found along the way, one battle at a time, destroy but not re-settle both enemy towns, capture the friendly one up top, fight off whatever came up there, and eventually build new garrisons at each town. And if enough time passes, the enemy might recapture the middle town and build and occupy multiple defense towers, like with me. You might need to find a way to reach a passive state where you're not getting attacked, population is building back up, and you can walk away for an hour or so. Then build your army back up.

Good luck headspin
