How to unlock the Squad Goals achievement in Prey - Definitive Guide

(You can restart the simulation as many times as you want and still keep all characters)
The 5 playable characters are:

Andrius Alekna
Automatically unlocked as the first character.

Riley Yu
Unlocked by finding her Psychoscope on the top floor of Pytheas Labs.

Vijay Bhatia
Unlocked by examining his corpse (changes location). Easiest way to find his location is visit any Security Station and select his name to track his body.

The Custodian


Joan Winslow
Unlocked by escaping the Moon with Andrius Alekna (any method).
It is easiest to send Andrius on an escape pod as a method of escape early on.

My god Joan is fucking hideously grotesque. How could that character model be allowed to make it to the final cut of the DLC?

Just wanted to point out that you have to “Escape in the Mass Driver” with the security officer Vijay Bhatian first for his story mode to unlock. Then you may be able to unlock the custodian Claire Whitten.

you should add what LaraCroftAngel said to your guide. In addition to that, if you're having trouble finding anti-rad med try this:
Upon entering moonworks from the crater you can use some white boxes on your left to get to the second floor. So jump up, turn left and hop over the railing on top. There will be some shelves, one of them always contained anti-rad med for me (4/4 runs).

If you unlock all 5 in a single run does the save file finish or does that only happen when you complete all KASMA orders?

I'm following SwelterinBeaver's walkthrough and, since there only one difficulty level, it's clear that they made the DLC harder after he played it. From the beginning, I've found the fourth container in a row that was vastly less valuable than what he describes so I know it's not just the random loot factor. He had a shotgun and 5 Neuromods at that point; I've got a pistol with 13 bullets and 0 Neuromods.

As a tip when unlocking the Custodian, Claire Whitten; immediately jump back when you check the computer in the maintenance room. You’ll avoid the poisonous gas & won’t have to worry about the antidote.

The door to the maintenance room locks & will automatically unlock when the transcribe finishes playing. Exit & proceed to the Crew Annex either by tram or going outside & crossing the crater.

Note that you do not have to deactivate the explosives. You can choose to detonate the escape pod. Either way, the mission is successful & you unlock Claire Whitten as a playable character.
