How to unlock the Know Thy Self achievement in Prey - Definitive Guide

Story related, almost unmissible. After reaching the neuromod division and picking up the gloo gun, a new objective will appear across the room to collect the neuromod. After doing so, follow to tutorial on how to use it by selecting any available skill. My suggestion is hacking as your first, but any will do.

I used the neuromod in the foyer display case, unlocked Hacking I, got the animation, completed the Everything You Know is About to Change objective but no achievement.
Then I discovered that this game has had achievement unlock problems since launch. Unbelievable that this hasn't been permanently fixed in over 5 years of release.
UPDATE: Finally popped when I used my 4th neuromod.

This achievement is done by using a Neuromod to learn an ability. You are likely to get this achievement if you are using Neuromods to improve your abilities naturally. However, the easiest way to get this is to use the Neuromod that January tells you about when you enter the atrium.

See the video guide below on how to get this achievement:

A little into the story, you will reach the Neuromod Division and find the Gloo Gun. After you have picked it up, you will get an objective in front of you to get the Neuromod. Pick it up, follow the tutorial on how to use it, and then select an ability.

The trophy will unlock after selecting your first ability.

Near the beginning of the game as you are working yourself towards the lobby, you will pick up a GLOO Cannon. Soon after, January will instruct you to remove a Neuromod from a pedestal. Smash the glass and take it. Follow the tutorial and use it to unlock your first Human ability. Do not unlock Human Abilities if you are going for a “Typhon Powers Only” playthrough or a “No Powers/Abilities” playthrough. You can still grab the Neuromod and save it (and others you find) until you are able to use them to get Typhon powers.
