How to unlock the The Gates of Hell achievement in Prey - Definitive Guide
This might look difficult at first, but its actually pretty straightforward; unless you hack the door open, you're going to be asked to find a turret fabrication plan and then secure the door with some turrets. You'll need two turrets deployed and pointed at the door to gain the trust of the character with the door code. In order to prevent anyone from dying, just go above and beyond with the door defense. More turrets means an easier achievement!
For a guaranteed win (tested it several times, to be sure I wasn't just getting lucky!) use five turrets. You can find several of them lying around the area, and fabricate another two. Make sure the turrets are all hacked if you have too many alien neuromods, and have all of them fortified. When you open the doors, get ready with a psyshock or a nullwave transmitter and use either on the weaver. The turrets will take care of the rest with no issue.
During the main story you will be in the Cargo Bay with a group of survivors. In order to continue you will have to open a large door holding back a horde of Typhon. To unlock this achievement you will have to defeat them all without losing a single one of the survivors. This is easier than it sounds. You will need to place two turrets in order for Captain Elazar to trust you enough to open the door. Instead, go above and beyond and place five or even six turrets. You can find them scattered around the Cargo Bay, and you can find a fabrication plan nearby so that you can build your own.
With the turrets all set up, type in the code to open the door and run back and take position. As soon as the doors open, toss in a Nullwave Transmitter to prevent their ranged attacks, and fire away. Your team should make quick work of the Typhon, and the achievement will unlock.
