How to unlock the I Want What's Coming To Me achievement in Prison Architect: Edition - Definitive Guide
For reference, I did this on my personal map, available in World of Wardens called "ta escape", but you can do this in just about any map with a phone in it, however the difficulty will vary greatly. My prison is pretty open so I think it makes it pretty easy.
- First, you will need access to a phone. These are typically located in the Yard and Common Room. Occasionally, you can also find them in Canteens and Holding Cells. Once you're close by, press to 'Call The Boss'. You will be given a mission to complete. Upon completing the mission, head to the Yard, Common Room, or Canteen and stand still. You should see a circle appear above your head with a picture of 'The Dealer'. Wait for the meter to quickly fill and you will be approached by a dude in sunglasses and shaggy hair. Once he's approached you, he will open a part of his prison uniform like an old-timey watch salesman. You can press to Open Shop or press to Finish Mission.
- There seems to only really be three types of missions "The Boss" ever gives out:
- Rough Someone Up: A red circle usually appears that will point you in the direction of the inmate that you need to rough up. If the picture is of two fists, it means you need to beat that inmate until they are 'Unconscious'. With any amount of skill points in Fighter, this should be fairly easy to accomplish. If you accidentally kill them, it doesn't seem to make a difference. If the red circle has a picture of a skull, you need to beat them until they're 'DEAD'. I'm not entirely certain but I believe the difficulty of these missions goes up as you attain skill points (which you will receive for completing missions). As you get more skill points, you'll get requests to take out multiple inmates within a 24 hr period. Sometimes it will include taking out guards.
- Create a Distraction: The best distraction I found was to run around destroying objects while running from the guards. Depending on your Respect and Natural Leader skills, other inmates may jump in and help in causing chaos. As soon as you start, you will see flashing red text at the top of the screen that says "Distraction - XXhrXXmn" with XX indicating the amount of time the distraction needs to last. Once the distraction countdown has disappeared, I found it easiest to hold down to "Surrender" for an easier sentence (this is a good time to rack up Bribes with Guards as well).
- Collect Contraband: A red circle will appear indicating where the contraband is located. In my experience, it is usually in a cell. Grab it and head back to the Yard, Canteen, or Common Room to finish the mission with The Dealer.
Since the level of difficulty of the mission scales with the skill points you have, it seems easiest to go after this while also grinding out snapshots and recruits. The difficulty of some of the missions got to a point where it was quicker to start a new file and, in turn, get a snapshot and recruits in the process. However, there doesn't seem to be any consequences if you 'fail' a mission. You will get a message saying the Boss has handed the mission to someone more 'capable' and to come back for another mission when you're ready.
Let me know if you have any questions or want to see any changes to this solution.

You reach the Boss via the Phones on the Yard or a cell phone (steal one in the offices). There are basically four types of missions: 'Rough up Someone', 'Kill someone' (can be a member of staff or guard), 'Cause a distraction for x minutes' or 'Get the packages'. Once you complete the mission you need to summon the Dealer and press to complete the job. Once it is done you can apply for another job. Should come normally while boosting for other achievements.
