How to unlock the Wait and Hope achievement in Prison Architect - Definitive Guide

Start Prison Architect mode on a standard difficulty (i.e. County, Federal or super max but not custom). To research something, do the following:
- Build an office.
- Hire a warden.
- Go to prison running (press
) and select Bureaucracy - Upgrade all from left to right, when you upgrade a person (security, Legal, finance and maintenance) which then unlocks new researches you need to hire new unlocked personnel and built them a new office as well before you can continue in that track. Example: To unlock cleaning, you must first unlock Maintenance then build an office and hire a foreman. Only then you can start to research cleaning.
- All upgrades cost time and money and must be done inside the same prison/game for the trophy to pop.
This is a good trophy to combine with Prison Industrial Complex and I Read A Book Once... Green It Was.

You need to unlock all bureaucracy items in one prison which takes a lot of time and money. You'll need to hire a Warden, Chief, Accountant, Lawyer and Foreman and build offices for them before you can unlock all of the items. Most of the items are cheap and easily affordable but some of Lawyer items cost $50,000 to research so you'll need to have an efficient prison making profit (from grants, prisoner intake, early parole, workshops etc.)
