How to unlock the No.1 Owner achievement in Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 - Definitive Guide

FIRST: Before you do anything. You must have the Club Boss mode unlocked in the 'Extra Content' menu. It costs 600 credits which you earn after finishing matches etc.

You will find Club Boss mode under the 'Football Life' menu.

Method 1 (try if you have the patience)

I have spent the past three days trying to obtain this achievement legitimately with F.C. Barcelona. I got to around the 2038-2039 season mark when I decided to give up. My club had around £1 billion in assets but I could never get near the £1.4 billion of Real Madrid. Despite winning trophies season after season and keeping my wage bill below £200,000,000 I could never attain more than £1 billion in funds. You can certainly try and do it legit and please feel free to let me know if you do succeed. At this moment in time though it seems impossible.

Method 2

First, you need to go into the EDIT mode and change the South Korean players stats to maximum. I'll explain why in a moment. Also change their age to 20 so they won't retire anytime soon. Ideally you need 16 players maxed out to 109 in rating. 1 goalkeeper, 6 defenders, 6 midfielders and 3 centre forwards seems a good choice. Then you need to transfer these into either F.C. Barcelona or Real Madrid. You will then have to remove any remaining players in the side to make room for the edited ones. Once you're finished you should only have your 16 edited players in the side.

NOW, the reason for this is there seems to be a bug in PES2012 that means that Koren or Japanese starting salaries are nice and low. So you're benefiting from the bug. That way at the beginning of the season you are only spending around 38 million on wages and not the usual 150 million.

Now you can finally start!

When you start Club boss you can pick whatever you like in the settings i.e. difficulties etc. YOU MUST however turn player growth OFF. That way your players will never lose their high ratings.

Recruit CASTOLO as your manager. What I then do is sim matches until big games like the El Classico between F.C. Barcelona and Real Madrid. Before games like this you want to put between 5-10 million into marketing to increase your fan base. It's also a good idea to do this before award ceremonies.

You should win all trophies every season and keep that all important wage bill down. Rinse and repeat until around 2016-2017 when you should have acquired about £1 billion in funds. The top team will still have around £1.2 billion so at the start of the season I didn't actually pay anything into the budget. This kept my funds high and half way through the season the achievement unlocked. Whether or not all my players were set to leave at the end of the season is another thing. You can choose whether to risk not paying them at the start of the achievement winning season or play it safe and sim through another year.

Good luck to you!

I'm certain I followed the guide to the letter and hit the 2015-2016 season with around 800 million but my running costs shot up to well over 200 million for this season so I ended up back at 600 million. Where I was 2 seasons ago. Any idea what I might be doing wrong?

Did you manually elect to sign players or leave contracts to the scout I believe? Think I left to scout who handled everything.

That sounds like some sort of glitch to me? Did your scout sign any players? I actually think I set it up so I had to approve any players. Maybe you automatically kept buying players with your budget.

Forgot to say - some people seem to think this takes days. It doesn't. Remember you can choose not to watch every game. I think it's an option under "Instructions". You can choose to attend the game (which means watching the full 5 minutes, having to restart play every 30 seconds etc), or choose not to, in which case you can just sim past every game and it just shows you what the score was. I did this whole thing from start to finish in under 4 hours.

I found a way around the rising fees,i think i have,it worked for me ,i brought some new low paid players in half way through the season then released the very high wage earners so the following season it still came to about £40,000000 and not £100,000000 +.hope this is useful to some one :~)

I believe there isn't a need to put money into marketing before every big game. As long as you include a budget (around 10 million) at the start of the season, your fanbase will increase dramatically whenever you win big games/ competitions and when your players win awards.

Also, I forgot to put money into marketing in my first year, but still got the achievement mid-way through 2016-17. I only paid for marketing from 2013. By 2015, I'm receiving 100 million every year from fan's subscription. I realised that, in 2015-2016, even when I put in 10 million at the start, fans increase are slow and minimal despite winning everything. I think there's a saturation point when marketing isn't required anymore. So if you start paying marketing in 2012, you could actually stop paying in 2015 to save that 10 million.

Got it now, kept missing out by 20-30 million to barcelona before my costs went sky high so started again, downgraded barca players stats a bit and their total worth fell by about 100 mil. Played through as in your guide and got it in the 4th season before my costs jumped again. Thanks for ur help mate.

Good guide. I used method 2, with a few tweaks. I used 2 goalkeepers, 6 defenders, 4 midfielders and 4 forwards. I didn't want to be without a reserve keeper since you can't completely turn off injuries. I downgraded key Real Madrid players (such as Ronaldo, Alonso, Casillas etc) just a little, so they wouldn't trouble me and wouldn't be worth as much.

I also made sure I set the market activity to "low" so that my manager didn't buy any more players, and I kept the manager I was given at the start for the whole time.

Initially I was splashing the cash on marketing for derbies and award ceremonies etc, but saw little increase in fans after the derbies and after the awards my aide always complained about not spending on marketing anyway so after the first season I only spent marketing cash just before competition finals.

My team (Barca) won practically every game 5-0. By January 2014-15, my fan base was at the maximum 999,999 so I didn't spend any more money, just simmed to the start of the next season, at which point I was just frustratingly a few million behind the no.1 club (Chelsea) who had around £1,063,000,000. I simmed through the whole of the 2015-16 season and on the first day of the next season, easily surpassed the amount need at about £1,240,000,000. At this point the wage bill had grown to £200,000,000ish, but it didn't matter. The achievement had popped before the wages were paid.

Thanks for the advice!

I didn't do anything with transfers just ignored it so I guess it was at whatever the default is. Season costs were 30 mil, season 2 was 50 mil, season 3 was around 80 mil and season 4 jumped to 250 mil even though there are no new players in the squad list. Very strange indeed,

Same thing happened to me as UnholyDarkotus. However, I got the achievement at the end of 2014-2015 season. My game was in dollars and the top 2 had over $1Billion. Got it right before I was told the budgets went up to over $200Million. Guess I got lucky.
The only thing I did different is drop Ronaldo, Messi, and Villa in skill a bit to ensure an easier league. Played as Real Madrid.

I did the same as above, but just put all skill levels at 90 and form at 4/5,then used the team. When the season begins just get your fan base up in the first season to max, then forward date to euro player of the year then forward to the very end of the season.Do this for the next 3 seasons.Achivo popped at the start of seson15/16 and took less than two hours. You can find something else to do while your games sim right to the end.Simples.Enjoy

In this new mode to Pro Evolution Soccer, you will take ownership of whichever club you desire, whom you choose will not change the fact of where you start in terms of value in the beginning, and you will always be 180th.

This method is from NeroNoctis, so all thanks can go to them for finding and executing this method of unlocking the trophy in 2016-2017 season (whereas I unlocked it in 2023-2024)

Well, I finally got the long awaited No.1 Owner trophy!!!

Here's how I did it:

First, pick a strong team (I used Real Madrid) and kick as much players out as you can into an other team. Then, transfer JAPANESE or SOUTH KOREAN players to the team. Note, who the players are doesn't matter, just be sure to pick one of each position. When you can't transfer into the team anymore kick out the rest of the original team's players and put in other JAPANESE or KOREAN players. Just be sure to have a max of 16 players, 11 of each position + 1 keeper sub + 4 subs. So you should have 16 players in the team.

Now, you want to max their stats to 109, AND put their age to 20, so they won't retire

After that, it's game on!

When you star Club boss, put Super Star difficulty 10 min Euro Low No No No and NEXT ( I don't think the difficulty or play time changes anything but better be sure). And the usual stuff, name, etc, and pick your club.

You should have 38 Million expenses with your team now and leftover money. With it, recruit CASTOLO as your manager, and put 10 Million in budget marketing.

And VERY important, always pay the sum the girl asks you in the beginning for the team, in this case 38 Million.

Now, grab a beer, or a bite, or whatever, and sim to 31 of July.
By the end of the season, you should have won everything and get a big fat pay rise

When the next season starts, pay the sum asked and invest 10 Million in budget marketing.

Simulate, rinse and repeat

When you arrive at the 2016-2017 season, you should have around 1 Billion, you will be asked to pay around 300 Million, DON'T pay it and don't put anything in budget marketing.

Simulate to the final game of the league, receive cash, sim to finals of CL, win, get money and GET THAT DAMN TROPHY YOU DESIRED FOR SO LONGGG!!!

Hope this helps, if you have any questions, I'm here for y'all.
