How to unlock the Zero to Hero achievement in Project CARS 2 - Definitive Guide

This achievement requires you to start your career in Tier 6 and go on to win a Tier 1 championship.

Very easy to do as long as you're aware of the achievement's existence. Once you load up the game, start a new career and enter all your information. You'll eventually get to a point where you can choose your first championship to enter. You can enter any championship in Tier 4, 5 and 6. You'll want to enter one of the Tier 6 championships below:

Formula Rookie
Kart One
Ginetta Junior

Now that you've entered a Tier 6 championship, you'll move up one tier at a time as you win championships (you can choose the short versions of championships by hitting cn_LB when you select a championship, which contain fewer races).

Keep progressing, and as soon as you win your first championship in Tier 1 and make it to the loading screen, you'll unlock this achievement.

It’s been a while since I played, but I’m like 99% sure you only need to win 1 championship in each tier before advancing to the next tier.

Do I have to win all of the championships? Can I just win 1 championship in each tier?

It takes around 3-4 hours to go from starting a Tier 6 event to the end of a Tier 1 championship. Upon completion of the Tier 1 championship all other career path events become accessible. +1

Anyone had any issues with this. Started with the Ginetta Junior and finished with Indy Championship and it hasn't popped. I did change from full to short championships part way through, wondering if this may have had an effect. Any help/advise appreciated.

Changing from full to short does not affect the achievement as that's what I did after I realized it's something you're able to do. It sounds like it could be an xbox live issue or general achievement issue. To double check, you can check your goals (lifetime, hall of fame, or whatever they're called) and this is one of those goals. If you met the requirements it will be checked off.

When you create your character, you must choose the 1st discipline, select it and before running select all the rb, to the trophy room and others, in the last is the option to choose the difficulty, it is determined at 60%, choose 0 and it will be a few laughs win.

Because if you don't start in Tier 6 you do not get the achievement and have to start over again.

MISSABLE

When starting your career you can choose any championship from Tier 6 to Tier 3, for this trophy, you'll have to start in Tier 6 though. When choosing a championship, you can also select to do a full season or a short season. A short season will have fewer races so it's faster and it's perfectly fine to choose it for the trophies.

Choose any championship in Tier 6 (Ginetta Juniors is recommended if you want Diversity quicker) and win it. Now after this, only Tier 5 will be unlocked so choose any Tier 5 championship and win it. Repeat this until you reach Tier 1 and win a championship in that (Indycar is recommended in Tier 1 if you want Triple Crown ).

Losing a championship and restarting it or another one in the same Tier seems to void this trophy. Make sure to win every championship or you'll need to start another career.

You need to go through the championship branch in your career, from level 6 to level 1
