i got it on normal so pro ISN'T required

i was always wrong on the point that you can't be on the second place, even for a second

at the beginning of the race you have to get a pretty perfect start to be always in front, overtake to be first before the first turn comes ISN'T enough

let's say you choose two laps, being first at the end of the first lap, and win the race, ISN'T enough

hoping it's where you're wrong enjibenji v2

take care

Make sure you are signed in. It didn't work for me at first due to showing "Player" instead of my gamertag on the top right. This game seems to have a bug where your gamertag disappears only to show a "Player" name instead.

Make sure to not use rolling start and you will succeed :)

what are pro settings? do you mean difficulty and if so is pro half way between 'beginner' and 'ace'? Thanks!

apparently I didn't... so I can't get this achievement without deleting my save? Well that sucks!

Worked for me.. only thing I can think of for those having issues is if you went off track or made contact and that thing pops up saying lap time invalidated. Even if you do post the fastest lap, it may not count it as a valid lap for this achievement so you missed out on the 'fastest lap in the race' part of it.

Thanks ProjectSix I'm almost certain I didn't invalidate lap times in previous attempts, will attempt again and make sure I don't get any invalidate laps in any of the laps!

Best time in qualifying, lead every lap and got fastest time, no invalidated laps and achievement still didn't unlock. I just don't get why it isn't unlocking for me... :(

I was using pro and I just did a race weekend

When creating a race weekend to do this I cant select practice or qualifying, they have a lock next to them. Nothing I do will take that lock away.

Any Ideas?

OK thanks, did not think of that. Tried several but they were all the shorter versions. I will try this.

Kheops Fenix - Thank you so much, that was it. I remember specifically the races before, the AI would get a jump start and be in 1st for a few seconds. This time I chose a car with good acceleration, stayed 1st and got the achievement.

Can confirm you DO need to stay 1st at the start. I did this on Monza, my first attempt was in the Megane, too much wheelspin off the line, if I feathered the throttle off the line the AI still got ahead. Second try was in the Mitsubishi Evo, got the achievement no problem with it :)

I tried this a couple time with no result using Hockenheim short, 2 laps 1 ai GT3 Aston Martin .. no result and today i tried exactly the same thing and kept looking at session results and after nearly 30 seconds the achievement popped .. so don't be hasty to go back to Race Central .. dunno if it helps but worked out for me ..

I kept doing this in the career, and it wouldn't work. When folks said Solo - Quick Race Weekend, I tried this there, and it worked fine. Then I looked at the color of the icon for the achievement. IT'S GREEN! Duh, it's all color coded... I feel dumb that I didn't think about that. This is a green achievement, if it was pink it would be a career achievement.

It works. I moved my opponent slider difficulty to 50% for it to pop. Does not work in career. I did 2 of the first Focus races meeting the requirements and, nothing.

difficulty doesn't matter, if the other car gets ahead of you in the main race i.e beats you off the line it invalidates the whole achievement. You need to start again from scratch.

as soon as the race starts turn right to stop the other driver trying to pass.

To the solution provider have an Upvote :)

If you mess up the start of the race (your rival gets ahead), just press pause and restart the session. In this way you'll restart the race, without doing qualifying again.

Got the achievement in this way, while installing the game (the only available race is Dubai Autodrome International, on P30 LMP1).
Set it with 1 lap, 1 rival (ability 0) and 5 mins on qualifying (nothing else).

Not possible using rolling starts, as the game always puts P2 first before the green. How do I choose standing start?

Also works with only 1 lap, no need for two (not that an extra lap is that big of a deal, lol).

This doesn't seem to unlock in Career Mode. As soon as I tried a qualifying and race in Solo mode as per this guide it worked.

I had setup a Solo race on Sonoma short. The race was set to 15 laps (in hindsight, this all could have been done in 10 laps). I turned qualifying on, and had 5 opponents, set to the easiest difficulty. Also ensure that Full damage, Mechanical failures and the Tire wear options are on.

After qualifying first by about 20 seconds (was driving an RUFGT8), we began the race. I lapped the field after the sixth or seventh lap. Towards the end of the eighth lap I pitted, then resumed the race. When the race finished another achievement popped too.

I believe that you should be able to get the following four achievements (I already had two unlocked):
1) ON YOUR LEFT 20G (lapping an opponent)
2) REQUESTING FLYBY 10G (pitting while in first and resuming still in first)
3) GRAND CHELEM 20G (get pole position, fastest lap and win while leading each lap)
4) GLADIATOR 10G (won a race weekend w/full damage, mechanical failures & tire wear)

I don't understand the down vote, this worked perfect. I would add that if you don't yet have Pit Boss you can customize the pit stop in the menu on the left as you enter pit lane.

Thanx man this worked like a charm.

You can get two other achievements with this race.
Requesting Flyby for 10G and Pit Boss for 5G.

Set -ups: SOLO - Quick Race Weekend.
Track: Brands Hatch Indy - Lap will be ~ 45 seconds.
Number of Laps - 2
Number of opponents - 1
Opponent skill - Beginner, scroll bar to the end of left side.
Rolling Start -Off
Practice - Off
Qualifying - 5 min.
Warm-up - Off

My game settings is on PRO difficulty, I don't know this affect or no.

P.S. Also tried many times with different solutions.

Found out what can ~ Void this trophie:
1. Never go out the track - in qualifying and race.
2. Complete/drive all 5 min. in qualifying, don't simulate.
3. In Race You must stay always in 1st Place.
In race - no rolling start, but AI faster then you on start, So You need to block him, to avoid overpass you.
Car which I used - Audi R8 LMS Ultra / GT3, but car is up to you.

Hope this helps, Good luck.

Apparently this does not work in Career mode.

You need to go into Solo mode and race there.

You can set opponents to 1 and set it as difficult as you want.
You need 1 qualification (you can set it to 5 minutes) and 1 race (you can set it to 1 lap).
Be sure to also get the fastest lap time (so don't get off the track or it won't count).

Beware: On some tracks or track versions you can not set qualifications, so be sure to check if you can set them to Yes in the options of the Solo mode).

Pretty easy again, all you have to do is get pole, the fastest lap in the race and lead all the time.
Best works in a quick race mode.

And I mean all the time........if one AI overtakes you even for a second you are in trouble.

Hence no rolling starts as Pcars screws you there nearly every time, and a car might overtake you there for a bit.
So standing starts it is, once again I suggest an AI on your level or slightly below, as that is safer to race.

Can be done at the same time as the Gladiator Achievement.

This achievement may seem daunting but its really straightforward. You can unlock a few achievement in the same race if you follow this.

Pick either Hockenheim Short or Sonoma Short, 12 laps, Audi R8 variant or RUF GT8, turn on qualifying, 5 opponents on the easiest settings, put damage onto to full, mechanical failures on and tire wear on.
Set the fastest lap in qualifying and begin the race. I was able to lap an opponent on lap 5/6, once I was a minute or so ahead I entered the pits, edit the pit strategy for pit boss and upon exiting you will get requesting flyby.

Finish the race and you will unlock this and "Gladiator".

This trophy cannot be unlocked in Career so you will have to attempt it in Quick Race Weekend.

Pick a car and track a combination that you are comfortable with and setup the event so that it features a Qualifying Session (note that some tracks cannot have Qualifying Sessions). You will also want to make sure Rolling Start is set to No as the A.I. can often jump the start which will prevent you from earning this trophy. Select 1 A.I. opponent and put their skill at Beginner level. Now it is just a matter of beating the A.I. in every session. When it comes to the race, make sure that you accelerate as close to the green light as possible. If the A.I. overtakes you off the start line, even for a fraction of a second, you will have to restart the race. Also, be sure to stay on the track, as invalidated laps will not count towards your fastest lap.
