You start each game with 5 shields. Each time you get hit, you lose a shield. You can gain more with the "s" power ups. It took me longer than it should have to realize you don't want to pick up the "h" power up. I believe that activates a hardcore mode where you have no shield. Once I figured that out, this was a breeze.

Thanks for the heads up! I picked up the H on my first run then after reading this, missed it and unlocked all 3 after dying once 👍🏻

If you played before the update you should instantly unlock all these achievements just lose one shield, kill a enemy & pick up power up
