In order to get this achievement you need to get an S ranking in mission 15, Into the Light while playing in campaign mode.
I recommend playing on hard as you will get substantially more points. The mission has two parts with 3 sub-objectives each:
Part 1
You need to breach through the enemy lines. Focus on taking down the enemy warships. Note that even if you have destroyed all warships, the mission will only continue after some time has elapsed. Destroying all enemies might speed up the process.
Sub-objectives
Destroy the warship escort of the S Battleship
Destroy the S Battleship
Destroy all enemies
Part 2
You need to destroy the two S-Battleships.
Sub-objectives
Both Destroyers escorting the Acropolis survive
Allied Battleship VINSON survive
Both battleships escorting the VINSON survive
Keep in mind that if you die on the second part and opt to retry rather then restart the mission you will loose all points from the first part and likely not get an S ranking.
I recommend using the Maelstrom Bomb to destroy enemy ships. You can fly back to your carrier and reload if you run out of ammo. Don't be afraid to cause some friendly fire. The allied warplanes that are affected by your bombs don't reduce you score enough to cause serious damage to your rank. Avoid downing allied ships though!

It's worth noting that the S rank is completely score-based. Every single time I use a Maelstrom bomb I kill a friendly or ten, but I get so many hundreds of thousands of points that it doesn't even matter. In addition, I never complete side objectives that aren't directly related to killing everything.
In short: to get an S rank, just decimate everything on hard mode and don't even sweat it. I got S ranks in every mission on hard doing exactly that.

I agree. for this mission, getting all sub-objectives only requires a bit more focus on some attackers early on and it is worth it as you get mote points. In general, when you can make sub-objectives without going out of your way, it is worth doing so. Also, as you said, don't be afraid to destroy allies unless it is big allied ships. You don't want to sink that Battleship because you were hunting down a fighter! I'll add a line to the solution to reflect your statement.

This is done on level 15. To get the achievement you must beat the level with a rating of S. On easy this is virtually impossible, even if you destroy all enemies and get all sub-objectives (to give an idea, I've scored over 60K points on the level and finished with a B). On hard, if you beat the level you'll be way beyond the cutoff for an S rating. So do the level on hard, be sure to equip the maelstrom bomb (the one that costs 200K to buy), and use it against the big ships (the battleships, destroyers, & cruisers). This is where the bulk of the points come from, and if you destroy them all (or most of them) you'll have no problem getting the S rating.

I just want to add that I cleared the level on hard with 2/2 Main Objectives and 2/6 Sub Objectives. I got 111500 points and only B rating. And with 130k points A-rating. So "if you beat the level you' be way beyond the cutoff" is not true in all cases.
