I'm not 100% sure if it is intended or not, but I discovered that finding secrets you've already found will count towards this achievement.

Can confirm. Finding the same secret then quiting to workshop 50 times will unlock the achievement as of 25th February 2022

Secrets are hidden locations, usually found behind secret doors and behind cracked walls. There are many times more such rooms in the game than 50, there are 200 of them. Therefore, the trophy is easily taken by the middle of the game if you constantly run around the map and squeeze near every suspicious wall.
