Just a trick if you don't want to deal with the hassle of going down and being picked up constantly while going for this since all of the animals are overpowered in this DLC:
Have 1 person soften the wolf up with 2 axe hits and you can finish them off with punches.
You cannot hit the wolves yourself with a weapon but someone else can and you just have to deal the last blow with your fists.
There is always 2 wolves south of the cabin by the hatches and another group of 2 wolves directly east of the cabin.
