This achievement can be done in both Basic and Normal modes but is much easier in Basic mode.
First of all you have to be a Survivor. You have to escape before the Mega Blizzard hits so be together, find the Power Plant, fix it, gather 3 mechanical scrap, 3 electronic scrap, and 3 fuel (helipad needs 3 of each resource every time) find the helipad which is usually south west from the cabin and escape. Fairly easy if you know what you are doing.
