How to unlock the A Fungus Among Us achievement in Psychonauts 2 - Definitive Guide

Pretty straight forward when knowing the location of the Fungus.
1. Pick up the quest from Lili at The Quarry. Roughly location is the north western part of the map.
2. The Fungus is located in the Questionable Area?. At the waterfall, you want to jump on a wooden stock when it turns vertical. The Fungus is behind the waterfall so you will see it when the stock sends you upwards. Jump in to the opening and the fungus is straight forward.
3. Return to Lili for a Rank as well as the achievement.

Wait until you have the Time Bubble power, it’s much easier.

Here's the video to see how I did it.
If you prefer written: When the game gives you the chance for going outside of the HQ for the first time, you can pick this quest up from Lili. She is at the right side of the The Quarry when you leave the HQ.
I'd recommend picking this when you're first got outside and don't try to do it until you got the Time Bubble PSI power. When you get the power, go to the Questionable Area? waterfall and hop on to the middle log before it goes up. Just before it goes up, use your Time Bubble power. It'd be way easier if you have less cooldown between Time Bubble upgrade too, so you can spam it. Make sure you're facing towards to waterfall to see where you need to jump, there'll be a gap. Jump there and grab that mushroom and go back to Lili.

Forgot all about her secret garden, reading the side-quest text tells you to go there.

Talking to Lili within the Quarry, you'll ask if there is any way you could help her. She'll ask for a rare fungus that grows deep within the Questionable Area. This is not easily accessible, however, as the cave in question lies behind the waterfall that is falling upwards, the Far-Fetched Falls. Ascend, if you can, up to a higher platform and look down at the base of the falls to find three logs that respawn and go up the falls. It would be easier for you to watch the middle one, but you can access the cave behind it using the others if you're lucky. Use Time Bubble to slow the log down, hop upon the end of it, and then ride it up a bit until you can see the cave behind it. The fungus is the droopy mushroom near the water. Get near it and use
to collect a smaller piece, and then return to Lili to get the reward and trophy.

Lili's side quest is started by talking to her out in the Quarry. She will ask you to find a rare mushroom in the Questionable Area; however, you can't actually reach it until you unlock the Time Bubble ability that slows time. With this ability, you can ride the logs up the waterfall and jump into a hidden cave about half way up. Interact with the mushroom and then return to Lili.
