How to unlock the Finish What Was Started achievement in Psychonauts 2 - Definitive Guide
-( Story related, cannot be missed )-
This is the final story-related trophy that Psychonauts 2 has to offer. This will involve the mental fight against Maligula. Her first and common form is that of a torrential whirlpool. Using PSI Blast is the easiest way to deal damage to her in this form. Jump away from her coming close to you, as well as her water vipers that will explode into the ground near you. Once enough damage is dealt, help will come in the form of the other Interns, which will change the battle some.
Her second phase will consist of Maligula going against you with fisticuffs. She will still sic her water vipers on you, so keep moving for them. Once she either starts her chaotic combo or is simply pacing about, break out using Time Bubble on her and then whack her with a PK melee attack. With enough damage dealt, she'll return to her previous form to take some more damage before the final phase comes.
The last phase is a one-on-one fight, empowered to match her size and strength. If you've played the original Psychonauts, this will be slightly similar to the fight against Kochamara, though this one is more two-dimensional. You will be given two attacks, and must push Maligula into the hole created by the Astralathe. Melee her a few times to push her back, but after taking a few hits from your combo, she'll push you back with water and/or attempt her own combo. If you can, try to meet her with a blast of your fire breath to push her back further, then repeat with melee. A mix of these two attacks will be what is needed to push her back down into the depths of the subconscious sea.
