By mending all three of Ford's Aspects, you'll bring the true Ford back out. This is also a point of no return, as by healing, and even entering, the third will prompt you with a notice that there is a long bit of story to go through before returning. Ensure you've done everything you wanted around the Motherlobe, Quarry, and Questionable Area, as you will be unable to return to these until you've finished the story at this point.
