After following Ford through the Forgetful Forest, you'll end up in Green Needle Gulch, the last of the open hub worlds within the game. The Astralathe can be found in the middle, within the Heptadome, though using it in its current condition is impossible. From here, you'll need to decide the order of things: whether you want to deal with the bees first, or the vines, as either way will take you in opposite directions.
