How to unlock the Interesting. You're better than Steve! achievement in Pure Pool - Definitive Guide
This will come naturally from playing the snooker DLC, however if you want to achieve this quick and fast you can follow this method.
Play against player 2 on the same pad.
Break normally on your shot, then have player 2 foul, select the option Force Retake using the Y button. The balls will be reset and all you need to do is repeat this twice more and the match will be awarded to you. On player 2's break just foul and then select the same option using the Y button. You will be awarded the win after the 3rd foul.
So you win two matches every 7 shots.
It's also not a bad way to gain XP, getting 180-300xp per match.

I sent an email to Ripstone Studios and they told me that it was a reference to the number of professional tournaments Steve Davis has won (73), and cited this article as their source: https://www.performingartistes.co.uk/artistes/steve-davis.
However, the above article doesn't have any source or listing of its own of where it got that number. And I couldn't find this 73 number anywhere else on the internet. Wikipedia lists Steve Davis as having won 84 finals, only one of which happened after the release of the Pure Pool Snooker DLC in October 2015 -- that one being his win in the 2018 Seniors Irish Masters. Although based on the website which the article appears, there's a small possibility that the above article is autobiographical (that is -- Steve Davis is the author, himself), in which case the discrepancy from that article and Wikipedia is possibly due to a recordkeeping error.

Forza Grifo, this works fine. I did about 20 matches this way and it popped today. The accolades aren't updating for winning . Mine is still on "Win 10 matches" which I thought was wrong anyway as I'd won much more before trying this. Positive vote from me & thanks for the solution.

The trophy is not difficult. You can knock it out in your snooker career. Only modes with the name snooker count. Snooker stakeout points and colors do not count. You need to win more than 73 games
You can also win by replaying any snooker game in your career. You can see how many snooker games you have played in My Profile - Awards. Although the statistics may be buggy, I just stopped at twelve victories and that’s it...
