While the description for this achievement seems straight forward, it is a bit misleading. Yes you need to win 100 stars in career mode. However, this is not 100 stars combined between 8-Ball and 9-Ball careers. So if you get 50 stars in 8-Ball career and 50 stars in 9-Ball career you will not get the achievement. You have to get 100 stars individually in 8-Ball or 9-Ball career. The stars do not stack across the 2 careers. It's not too hard to do in either career and you should have 100 before you complete the Amateur tournaments of each.

To get stars you have to do certain tasks in career mode (see the above 6 trophies for what exactly). Earn 100 to unlock this trophy, this will come within the Amateur career mode if you for everyone of them as there is a total of 162 stars to be earned there.
This must be earned all in one career mode and is not cumulative. I'd advise going for this on amateur 9 ball or amateur 8 ball as they are the simplest.
