Clear the table in 8-Ball in less than 70 seconds

3.6%

How to unlock the Whirlwind achievement in Pure Pool - Definitive Guide

Start a match with player 2 on the players tab. Use his turn and yours to clear all your balls off the table. Player two's balls don't matter just yours. You have to be the one to pocket the 8ball not player 2.

As the achievement says, you must clear the table in 8 ball within 70 seconds. In reality this means you must clear the table without missing a shot, so cueball control is essential. Here are a few tips I have:

- Try to get 1 or 2 balls potted off the break, this will make clearing the table even easier.
- Always plan ahead, try to make sure you leave the cueball in a place which will make the next shot as easy as possible.
- Using a little bit of screw will help stop the cueball as fast as possible for straight shots.
- Try to judge the pace of your shots so that the cueball will stop as soon as possible.

I have attached the video of me getting this achievement. As you can see, there is plenty of time to think through the shots, so you don't really need to rush too much as long as you don't miss.

EDIT: I have updated the video to a compilation of whirlwind clearances. As you can see I use the same tips in all the videos, cueball control is essential! Please let me know if you have any questions or comments about this achievement.

Open Players -> Local Players -> Player 2. Set Amateur difficulty.

If you pot 2-3 balls on the break, this will be your best opportunity. You’re controlling both players, so if you miss a shot with your account, use the opponent to pot one of your own balls. Which also lets you place the cue ball on your next shot, since they fouled. Try not to spend too much time lining up shots, which is a real easy trap to fall into.

This took me about 12 tries, including a couple restarts (by going right back through the steps to start a game) when nothing was potted on the break. Eventually, I got a nice pattern where I was able to just keep potting one after another. I did this with Shot Cinematics disabled under My Profile -> Options, but the game still likes to spend a lot of time repositioning the camera.

To clear the table in 8-Ball in under 70 seconds you effectively have to pot everything without missing, you have to pot all seven of your balls and then the 8-Ball so this means you’re going to have to pot every 8 and a half seconds on average.

I advise you to try to get this trophy in the two-player game mode. Break the balls, but try to roll 2-3 balls. If they didn’t roll less or didn’t roll at all, then we replay! After breaking, we try to pot the next ball as quickly as possible. If you miss a ball or a foul occurs, then when you are playing as the 2nd player, try to roll the cue ball by hitting someone else's ball(s) in a way that makes your situation easier and saves time. Although I generally received this trophy in my career against a professional opponent.

1. Select the very first game in the Eight

2. We do robbery. We try to roll 2-3 balls. If the balls are “smeared”, that is, the balls are close to each other, then it is better to break it again in order to increase the chances of scoring quickly.

3. Methodically stacks the remaining balls. It is important not just to score, but to get out correctly under the next ball. That is, you need to win “with a cue”, without allowing the enemy to hit at all, then you can do it in 70 seconds
