How to unlock the Freestyler achievement in Pure - Definitive Guide
If you're a nub like me (i gave up after 10 tries on Ocotillo Wells) you might want to check out this youtube vid by ETERNEL744. This map (Glamis) is shorter, and you spend most of the time in the air, which is good since the freestyle ATV's are a bit hard to handle in corners sometimes. I got this on first try, while i'm really bad at freestyle.

Glamis is the way to go. I, like the author, was able to get it on Glamis and not Ocotillo Wells. It took me about 5 attempts though. Not overly difficult.

Thanks for the fine guide that gave me the achievement. Crashed one time though so you'll have enough time to get the achievement in this track.

***Do this achievement on Trial Mode***
Adding this as it's not already stated and makes a fair bit of difference. There are no AI riders to mess you around or steal your power ups.
Other than that, take it pretty easy and you simply don't need to use excessive boost or pull insane combos. Most important thing is not to crash, and second most important is to collect every fuel powerup you come across (you may need a couple of goes for them to spawn nicely for you). I got this achievement on the second attempt on Octillo Wells when I was just studying the best route around the course - shows you have a fair amount of time. Go a bit slower on the first lap and make concious decision about which side of a the track to leap off to get the fuel powerups. Remember the locations for laps 2 & 3 when you'll be moving quicker.
Use your specials, and keep the tricks fresh, but remember that crashing is bad m'kay ;)
The Octillo Wells track seems far more forgiving for the Freestyler achievement than all the others I tried beforehand. Bommy's instructions above detail the best route. I completed it here on Trial Mode with Suzi on a maxed out A-Class Freestyle bike.

Thanks for this, I must admit I struggled with this one, but patience is a virtue...!

Worked on 2nd try, thanks.

Thanks for that mate - didn't know where to start, just needed to find a course where I knew it could be done.
Just in case anyone's struggling with it, you can definitely do it on Ocotillo Wells. I just did it now with an A class auto-build Freestyle bike. The route I took each lap was...
- Right straight away at the start for the jump
- Then immediately left for the big jump
- Then straight ahead over the jump, not round to the left for the winding road
- Road curls back around, a few straight jumps straight up to the biggest jump in the course, not preload/jumping so that I could...
- Turn immediately right as soon as I landed and head through the aircrafty bit (rather than straight ahead for the banked curve)
That, no crashes, special tricks everywhere I could and fresh tricks everywhere else, got me it 3rd try. Not sure if it's the optimal route but it's good enough. 1st try I stopped with my front wheels ON THE LINE!

I did this one totally by accident, to be honest...

Start a freestyle on trial mode on Glamis. This is probabaly the shortest freestyle track in the game, there are also two small shortcuts: one in the beginning to the left, if you boost you'll probably get enough air to take it, the other near the end of the track it's a narrow turn to the left again.
Just keep doing fresh basic tricks and try to do as many of them as you can and you'll get it even if you don't take the shortcuts. Try not to crash but crashing once is okay, you'll still get it.

I originally posted this on X360A but since it was well received I thought I'd add it here too. Sorry for the wall of text but I put this together with the level of information I would have liked when I was going for this achievement.
Rider - Jay Valdes
Engine - DASA Racing 449cc 4 Stroke (A Class)
Stats - 96, 87, 22, 85 & 100
Track - Ocotilo Wells
Same again, use Trial Mode. After struggling to get this on various tracks I ended up on Ocotilo Wells using my freesyle ATV. For those who don't know, tricks add Gas to the meter at the bottom left. I got the achievement before I figured out whether more small tricks are better than less bigger tricks so test this out for yourself. The route I took was (from the start) the right fork over the big jump, the left fork up the large hill, then the right fork instead of following the bend to the left. The only other thing is head straight after the Vertigo jump to grab an icon instead of bearing to the right. It took me 4 attempts. I came off once in each of 2nd and 3rd attempts and still almost made it. The time I got it I didn't come off at all.
I credit CheshireMulisha for identifying Ocotilo Wells as the easiest track for this achievement.

The only real advice I can give for this achievement is to pull as many big tricks as you can. I personally got this on the Ocotillo Wells level as there are a lot of jumps and theye are all fairly big. Other than that, you just have to collect as many single fuel recovery icon as you can. Sometimes you'll get lucky and they'll be placed on nearly every jump, whereas others it just won't happen.
Keep trying until you get the perfect amount of fuel recoveries, and as long as you don't crash, you should be fine.

Here an advice for the german speaking players:
The translation ogf the description is very bad.
German: Füge nach der dritten Runde ein Freestyle-Rennen hinzu.
Englisch translation: Add a freestyle race, after the third lap.
The correct description must be: In a Freestyle race: Be the first from points and position after the third lap (you must finish the third lap)
German: In einem Freestyle Rennen;: Sei nach der dritten Runde der Erste nach Punkten und der Position.

This is not as easy as it sounds. In a freestyle event, you have a fuel bar. This fuel bar gets refueled each time you perform tricks. For this trophy you will have to perform enough tricks, so that you have enough fuel to last you till the beginning of the 4th lap. Best track to do this is on Octillo Wells.
This achievement is a luck based one, for extending a Freestyle event past the third lap.
Simply load up a Freestyle event from the Single Event part on the menu and go around performing fresh tricks and collecting the green fuel tags.
With my run I did miss some, so I only just managed to get the achievement before I ran out of fuel.
I personally chose the map Glamis with an A Class engine.
Good luck!
This achievement is very tough and requires you to at least start a fourth lap in a Freestyle event. To get that far you'll need to grab as many Fuel Freezing power ups as you can as well as performing as many Fresh and Special tricks in combos as possible. Also, you can't crash at all because crashes reduce your fuel considerably. One crash and you most likely won't get to finish the lap you are on. This one will require both luck and skill to pull off but once you do it's thirty more points in the bag.

Here you just need to complete 3 laps during freestyle! 1do fresh tricks, they add more fuel! 2 do not fall during the race, this sharply reduces fuel! 3 Drive as fast as possible!

If you have done a series of jumps on
and on you can do it again they will be considered new jumps... easiest to do on freestyle in the desert..
Yes, and I’ll add a second trick in the air, it doesn’t always add fuel... it depends on the complexity of the trick...
