How to unlock the Virtuoso achievement in Puss In Boots - Definitive Guide
Really? No guide for this buggy achievement? Been out 3-4 years and nobody has posted anything. Ok then, I will...
If you are starting this game after it has been out a while then be aware as this game is easy yet this achievement is very annoying and glitches out. Like it did to me on my first playthrough. If you unlock this on your first playthrough on the final level... Lucky you. I was not so lucky. Gamers from PS3trophies websites complain that this achievement is glitched. I will explain.
The achievement says you have to play all tines on the guitar. This means in every level where you fight and see a guitar during a fight, kick an enemy into it, lift up arms and you start to play a tune. The guys dance and when you finish you whack them with it. This is one song done. As far as I am aware the song is only registered to that level meaning if you picked up another guitar on that level it will be the same tune but apparently there's rumour that if you tilt the guitar down to left with your left arm, apparently puss lowers the guitar and plays something different. I didnt believe it when I heard of this. After I played through the whole game again on my same save file, playing both tilted up and left during guitar fights alternatively it still didn't unlock. After this I was ready to give up.
Then I decided to delete my save from hard drive and try again from scratch. To be on the safe side, I remembered that every level where you fought with a guitar had more than one in it. So I played one guitar aiming left down and one or more aiming up. I knew this had to work or get me somewhere. Once I got to last level, I played the first guitar of that level aiming down left and after song ended POP! Yeah!!!!! So I did not need to play the second guitar aiming up to unlock this on the last level.
Remember! The 3 female cats you have to play to need to be perfect too and also to be on the safe side again, do not kneel immediately. Keep playing an extra 60 seconds after or until you hear the song end and restart again. Then you can kneel. I always aimed guitar down left with the female cats and by the looks of it, it's worked.
If you didn't get the achievement first playthrough, do not do what I did and play all fight levels over and over again. It will not unlock. Delete hard drive save, start again and follow what I did and you should get it by the start of the final level. Again to the people who got it first try well done. Hope this has helped.
Thanks for reading and drop me a thumbs up :-)

Been years since I played this game, ran into the same issue as you. Maybe I'll go back to it one day now, that I know I won't be wasting more time playing through this game again.. thanks for the info dude

Got it on my first playthrough on the final level. I did what you said on all the levels or at least I think I did. So relieved I got it.

In addition to serenading all three senoritas, you must perform at least one guitar attack during the following levels: Thieves Bar, The Chase, The Mine and The Great Terror. See Holy Frijoles for more info on guitar attacks.
What they mean by playing every tune, is to play the guitar on every level. You will only be able to play the guitar during fight scenes. On three occasions, you will play the guitar during action scenes, but its to serenade another kitty cat. Those three instances are story related and can't be missed. To ensure you get this achievement, just use the guitar during every fight scene.
