This is actually really hard to do legit unless you have some serious Tetris experience.
However, following this wiki page made it much, MUCH easier.

From the main menu, select Solo > Marathon. This is where you should try to do it.
It took me about 10 minutes to get all three using that wiki page as a reference, restarting if I didn't get the right pieces or whatever. Once I achieved one I just ended the match by spamming the up button to instantly fail.

Wow, fantastic write up, thanks for the help. I saw completed match and assumed I had to do it in pvp.

If there's anyone still playing this game, I actually recommend doing this in Solo -> Skill Battle with a team featuring the Character Ex (I believe unlocked while playing Adventure). His ability Tetrimino Change lets you change the active piece you have to be anything you need with the X button (with a 10 second cooldown).
Once you setup that stack in the wiki, you can Tetrimino Change into the pieces you may need for 60 MP each, making it very simple to do a perfect clear consistently.
