How to unlock the A Dream Broken achievement in Puzzle Quest 3 - Definitive Guide
As of May 27, 2024, Season 3.0 is closed and archived. You have to "buy" that season with 300 Crowns, which cost real money. (The game's store has 250+250 Crowns for US$4.99.) BUT, if you patiently wait out this period, the season will eventually move to the "older seasons" status, where you can then "buy" it for 750 Gems which you can acquire in-game as you play (complete challenges and goals and such).
To get to Season 3.0, go to the Battles screen, then the Archives page, and find "Season 3.0 A Broken Dream" among the available Story seasons.
Season 3.0, like most/all story seasons, has 3 Chapters with 10 Parts each. All chapters are currently available, so you can run through each of them and make it to the end, if you have a decent enough character to do so. Each Part in a Chapter has a Talk, 2 Battles, and a Reward... except Part 10 which is a Talk, a Dungeon (3 enemies in one battle), another Talk, and a Reward.
The 3 Chapters get tougher as you progress. The enemies on Easy difficulty end Chapter 3 at Level 49. If you beat the Easy version of the Season, then you can attempt the next difficulty for better rewards.
The final Boss Dungeon of Easy difficulty Season 3.0 includes:
Level 46 Pukah Warrior (Dark - purple)
Level 49 Oberon's Swarm (Dark - purple)
Level 49 Fallen Oberon (Dark - purple)
This means you should be able to use Light/Yellow Weapon/Spells to possibly do more damage; and Dark/Purple armor/accessories to defend better. But I've never really put that strategy to the test. I beat the whole Season 3.0 with a Poison Elven Bow and Gravedigger, Insect Plague, Vital Strike, and From the Shadows spells, since I'm an Assassin. But feel free to run your own strategy as you see fit.
If anyone sees different levels of enemies on Easy because of Character:Enemy level scaling, let me know.

BUT, if you patiently wait out this period, the season will eventually move to the "older seasons" status,
As I see from today 30.07.2024, you can buy it with 750 gems.

Season 3.0 released into the game on April 2024, with one chapter unlocking every two weeks. Playing during the current active season is always free, while similar to Apocalypse Then (50G) you may need to use crowns, gems, or wait for the free weekly rotation to access the content. However you decide to access the content, once you have completed all three chapters, this achievement will unlock. Like previous seasonal content, a Level 50 player will have no issues on the regular difficulty.
