How to unlock the Full Plate Armor achievement in Puzzle Quest 3 - Definitive Guide
So far, every Armor Set that I've come across has 6 total items in them.
Each Set will consist of 6 of the following 11 items. All include a weapon.
Head (Helm, Helmet, Mask, etc)
Shoulder (Pauldrons, Mantle, Shoulders, etc)
Torso (Armor, Mail, Breastplate, Cloak, etc)
Hands (Gloves, Gauntlets, Armguards, Wristbands, etc)
Legs (Pants, Leggings, Leg Armor, etc)
Feet (Boots, etc)
Waist (Belt, Wrap, etc)
Finger (Ring, Band, Ouroboros, etc)
Neck (Necklace, Amulet, Locket, Pendant, etc)
Shield (Shield, Tower, etc)
Weapon (Longsword, Flail, Mace, Maul, Staff, Hammer, etc)
To inspect your Set, go to the Hero Inventory/Gear page, then select a gear item. On the gear info popup there is a blue arrow pointing to the right ">". Click this arrow to show the Set info. On this section, there is a rectangular box that will read "No Bonus" or "[Set Name] [Set Bonus Tier]" (ex. "Savior I"). The Bonus tiers change depending on how many Set items you have equipped at the time. 2 items, 4 items, 6 items correspond to tiers I, II, III respectively. If you click on the box, you'll be shown a diagram of all the items in the Set and the benefits from each Bonus tier.
When you finally acquire all 6 items in the same Set, simply EQUIP them all to earn this achievement.
In my short time with this game, here are the Sets that I've seen so far.
Cloth Shirt and Leather Belt are NOT part of a Set.

If you're missing just one or two pieces, make use of the chapter specifics to grind, and go for low level chests. I was just missing a Guard Shield, got a 2-star chest in Chapter 1 (dungeon grind) and got it after about 10 battles

You should be able to get this fairly early in your journey to completing the story. I used one of the early sets called "Guard" which has Pauldron, Armor, Gloves, Belt, Shield, and Broadsword. Every armor set includes a weapon and will consist of six different pieces. At the time I unlocked this I also had five items for the Night and Royal sets and four pieces for three other sets, so you'll finish one quicker than you think.

Big and fat + mode Battle >> Dungeon is that there we have half of the chests not a random item, but an item from the set. Different sets of items are farmed in different dungeons.
You need to collect and wear all 6 items from the set (upgrading is not necessary). And a golden trophy.
In principle, you can farm any dungeon, entries are not limited (there is one problem - there is always nothing to open the chests with, and there are not enough cells for them).
But I settled on the Temple of Wyrmrest, because in parallel with farming things from the Savior’s Set, you can farm the next gold trophy on this list there for 100 Dragons.
