The best way to do this, IF you have 3 friends + yourself, is set up a:
Arena CTF
Endurance
Ranked
The person going for the achievement is on a team by himself and all the other people are on the other team.
The person going for the kills should capture 1 flag, get the red Doubler, then go back to the other teams flag and have people run to you and just shoot away for the next 28 or so minutes. You will get approx 500 kills per match depending on how fast your friends can get to you.
The reason you capture 1 flag is so you don't go into overtime. (I noticed on a couple matches that we went into overtime and I only got a few kills instead of the 300+ I had done.) Big waste of time....
Another tip: You use the Doubler to get "one shot kills." If you are running low on ammo tell the people to pick up guns and equip them for you before you kill them. That way you can pick them up when they die. I preferred the Rail Gun and Rocket Launcher myself.

Hey good solution. I just came to add almost an identical solution. (I have one up on the 10,000 frag achievement) but this is perfect the only thing I want to add is that the "in game" leaderboards (you can get to this by pressing the back button and scrolling to the right) do have a tendency to get reset for the award achievements. I have personally seen them get reset on excellents humiliations, and rampages. so BE CAREFULL!! Everytime I have seen them reset it has been around 250 - 300 of that particular award as well as sometimes you will be getting the awards so fast that they don't have time to pop up on the screen before the next wave of awards comes in and one award type will start to lag behind and that is usually the one that will get reset.
Also this can be done with more that 4 total people. I just got done with a boosting session that has 6 people in it and I got 870 kills

To clarify - 255 seems to be the magic number before it resets.
