How to unlock the Arma-gone achievement in Quake - Definitive Guide
FOR PC PLAYERS:
I suggest just doing this on nightmare so you can stack that achievement at the same time. It adds about 3 seconds of playtime.
1. Start a new game - select single player and Scourge of Armagon
2. (OPTIONAL) You need to select Nightmare. Either "noclip" your way to the nightmare portal or go to the normal portal, to the left of the portal are some boxes you can climb on to get to an elevator that will take you there legit.
3. Now hit the ~ key and enter this "map hipend"
4. Enter "god" (you don't need noclip here, I am 99.999% sure you have to kill the boss)
5. Kill the boss. The achievement should pop.

actually this site is for "achievements" and the website wouldn't be doing its job if it also didn't include the achievement's that were on all Microsoft platforms, including pc,
as stated this game does not have an individual windows 10 stack and shares its stack with the Xbox version. its clear that it belongs here, just because it doesn't help you specifically does not mean it is not helpful to hundreds of other people who use this site.
one of the paragraphs laid out in the "achievement solution guidelines" for posting solutions for achievements states this information, I have highlighted the portion that directly relates as to why this is a valid solution laid out by the site rules and procedures.
"Be relevant. Solutions must be a means to getting the achievement they are posted for. Avoid repeating information that is available from the achievement itself. Give all the information needed to unlock the achievement in question. If you're writing a solution for non-Xbox game (a tablet or Windows Phone), please state which device you've based it upon as not all solutions work for all devices."
you can read the rest of the guidelines here : Solution Guidelines
once again. belongs here. until things change and at that point it can be moved.

You'll get this achievement when you defeat Armagon at the end of Scourge of Armagon.
To beat this boss, you'll need to abuse the pillars a little in order to avoid getting hit. Armagon is very smart. Even though all it fires is missiles (either rockets or plasma shots), it aims at where you're going, not where you are, so just running around the arena won't cut it. Since hitboxes in Quake are so big, you can lure it to a pillar, then spin around it for a while and shoot at Armagon while it's coming out after you but still can't fire at you.
Staying far away is valid too, since you'll have plenty of time to dodge Armagon's rockets and plasma, but it'll be harder to land your shots - especially since the game's aiming is borked on Xbox as of writing.
Once you beat Armagon, a portal will appear. You jump into the portal and the achievement is yours.
