Once you gain control over the first area in Our House, you can collect your first collectable.
On the left of the area is a dresser with potion making equipment on it. Below the potion making equipment are two doors, on the left-side door, where the two doors meet in the middle, is Puzzle Piece 1/16. Click on this to collect it and pop the achievement right at the start of the game.
