How to unlock the Avenge the 2012 World Series achievement in R.B.I. Baseball 21 - Definitive Guide

This took me several tries before this achievement popped. I think the critical piece is that you play on medium difficulty, and not "Medium-Custom". I'm not sure if this will work using 2 controllers on medium, it certainly doesn't work with 2 controllers on "Medium-Custom". When it finally popped, I was playing the CPU with Detroit being the home team.

It worked for my friend in online exhibition mode but did not work for me. It's a very blotchy achievement in my opinion. I'm going to try a few other different ways and see if I can eventually get it to unlock.

I accidently had the game set to "Easy" for the first 8 innings. I turned it to "Medium" for the final inning, won the game and the achievement popped. Just as an FYI for anyone.
